The relationship between religion and IQ is non-linear desu. It's true that low IQ morons (in the 0-90 range) are more likely to be religious. Those in the 90-120 IQ range see through the "childish superstition" and, convinced that they're more intelligent than they are, mock everybody who is not an atheist. Then, once you get to the >120 IQ range, religiosity starts to increase again. When you get to the >160 IQ range, containing incredibly high IQ people like me, almost everybody is either a theist or a deist

There are still monasteries and monks (less than 1000 apparently) but they have no life to them. They are glorified old peoples homes. A group of "young" monks held a conference on to attract young adults, so they limited the conference to people under 55. lol
