Will we see this happen in our lifetime?

will we see this happen in our lifetime?
how do Korean anons feel about the division?

the kim dynasty won't let it happen and they have nuclear weapons so no

never

this thread is finished.

No.
They hate the idea.

If current talks keep going well it could happen in 10-20 years. We absolutely need to reunify eventually because we are reaching nearly the end of our economic potential before we reach stagnation phase like Europe or Japan. Whatever the costs, reunification would mean not only a reunion of our peoples but a Miracle on the Han River pt. 2

Yes, under Kim Kong Un's NK regime

seeing as the average south korean is over 20 times richer than the average north korean it would be an economic challenge/disaster

You will see less gay pop and North Korea will ally with the Republicans

Mark my words

t. Korean

>韓國의再統一

When you finish reunification, how do you call yourself? Chosŏn or Han(韓)?

Perhaps we use Koryo-in as compromise

>not only a reunion of our peoples but a Miracle on the Han River pt. 2
Not necessarily. Only if managed very intelligently. Germany too was promised a second economic boom after reunification, but it didn't happen, because obviously the industry in the West was already set up while the East was behind, a booming industry would have had no chance to compete against what was already there. What we saw instead was unemployment and emigration in the East.
But if you're able to learn from our mistakes, maybe.

>Challenge/disaster
It would just be an enormous disaster, South Korea will get over 20 million beggars overnight and a territory larger than their own in third world conditions to modernize, not to mention the extreme cultural gap between the two, imagine German reunification but 1000 times worse

Germany, shouldn't you just ask some East Germans?

>third world conditions

Actually, a silent Perestroika has been going on in North Korea for some years now, with legal and underground businesses — generally across the Chinese border — solving the food crisis that military communist order and humanitarian aid couldn't solve. The bureaucracy is just waiting for the moment to convert their power into private property, Russian capitalism style.

I have some hope because Kim seems more reasonable. Maybe we brainwashed him when he studied here kek. But I still can't imagine how it'll happen

>East Germans?
no such thing, only Germans

based post

Koreans don’t like Chinese people so they want to unite against them

East Germans are slavic-baltic mongrels that speak german.

South Germans are slavic-celtic germans that speak german.

Only West and North germans are germanic without sl*vic and c*ltic shitblood.

Have the last ones hung themselves?

Gypsy !

I don't think DDR ever had the vast amount of mineral resources or cheap labor DPRK has. They'd definitely have to be kept as some special admin region for a while and not reunify quick like with Germany and yeah we'd have to play pur cards right

Do you really think that we can unify in consultation with Kim jong un?
The summit has been repeated several times, but only nuclear threat has returned.
If we don't kill Kim Jong un, we will be the next Japan.
There is only one way to be unified. We should break down the North Korean regime
Also our country name will keep Daehan (대한)

NK should go the same way as Vietnam and China. German unification has cost more than 2 Trillion already and Eastern Germany was far more advanced and the gap between us was closer. Therefore SK isnt really keen on it

fuck off Ossi

>Implying you have to be starving to be 3rd world
Sure it's not as bad today as it was back in the 1990s but still even to this day East Germany isn't catching up to the West despite endless hundreds of billions of euros in gibs from the federal gov and the EU, I can't imagine the economic disaster that Korean reunification would imply

Still, the infrastructure in the North is diapidating and the human capital in next to zero.

It will end in disaster and I hope that smart people in charge know that.

ich bin Schwabe

North Koreans would probably seen as the vanguard or a more militaristic, insular people against the Chinese and Russians, which earns them respect as opposed to the more commerce and tech oriented south

How are we even a threat?

>If we don't kill Kim Jong un, we will be the next Japan.

“How Kim Jong-un caused the doubling of world anime production in 2030s”. Let's make it happen!
