American healthcare seems a bit expensive

I've sworn by the "just be healthy" thing which seems to be working well for me.

Being poor as shit and living on beans, rice, water, and black coffee makes it all but impossible to become fat and diseased.

Yeah I'm still fucked if I fall and break my leg, but at least I'm trying.

Uninsurelets btfo

>Being poor as shit
>makes it all but impossible to become fat
Maybe if you live in india. In the US you got plenty of access to carbs.

This is a good thing. The sooner Americans are bled dry, the sooner the entire system collapses and I can personally congratulate Ted for being 100% right.

Stop victimblaming. Just because you eat excess sugar doesn't mean anyone deserves to get diabetes.

"Intermediate care room"
So a bed?

Americans must be rich, why else would they ignore their health? they can obviously afford that.

RIP to anyone in US who is poor and gets some cancer or something like that

it's probably the semi intensive therapy unit
you are still monitored quite heavily and under strict control, and lasts longer than ic unit
the pharmacy bill is insane tho, cant compute

As for physical health, I don't think it's difficult.

However, I do feel bad for my fellow broke-ass countrymen who can't afford mental/psychological health services. Too many people I know turn to some pretty unreasonable "solutions" to their problems such as booze or drugs. While a vocal minority with such issues are just memeing, the large majority of them need some kind of help that is simply not available for various reasons, mostly the price.

Shit, after going through some rough family issues I even looked into what it would cost to see a therapist for some sessions just to make sure everything was ok - my insurance covers basically nothing in my area and I would have been paying well over $100 for a single hour-long session. That's fucking nuts.

Just buy an health insurance is that so difficult

do you know what ill people usually say? "wow i was healthy until yesterday how did this happen"

guys cmon this is a joke, no way this is real

How much would the broken arm cost you? How much would it cost you if you didn't have insurance?

It fluctuates across the country, but according to Amino, a consumer healthcare company, in the Bay Area a broken arm could cost more than $1,200 if you have a high deductible health plan. If you’re uninsured, the cost could be even higher.

>in the Bay Area a broken arm could cost more than $1,200 if you have a high deductible health plan
Wut.
So you have to pay even if you're insured?

What the fuck lmao

Granted, you have to be pretty stupid not to have some money saved for situations like this. US or not

Only Western Europe is qualified to make fun of Americans.

Do not get a big head, thirdies.

it kind of looks like they multiplied it by 1000
like $153 doesn't seem that bad but not fucking $153000 for a snake bite

True, even if i contribute 10% of my income for healthcare doctors still expect bribes and shit. Fuck me for being born here. Beats being born in Liberia or something...

NHS is arguably not better than Americare.

Basically only Germanic and Nordic countries have superior healthcare to americans

is this just a normal snake bite?
or a venomous one

Attached: americare4.jpg (974x743, 103K)

i don't get bankrupt if i go to hospital tho.

>special services

Attached: bane.png (1920x1080, 2.04M)

And here I pay 650 euros a year for private health insurance because in my opinion waiting to be seen by a doctor is unacceptable

true but you are massively under-staffed/funded as i understand

wtf

ah, a quick google search later, it appears the problem seems to be a monopoly on antivenom production in america, causing the prices to skyrocket

>saxon
>positively retarded
You do know a huge fucking chunk of the hospitals costs come from illegals using the emergency care and not paying for it?
How fucking much do you have to hate mutts to delve this deep into ignorance?

Attached: apuja2.png (927x893, 139K)

>IT'S DA ILLEGULS
does trump pay for you saying this?

>acksually people who exploit the systen and never pay anything into it dont destroy it, righties btfo

Do you know that illegal immigrants pay taxes?

This but unironically

thought it was the amazing atheist for a moment and was happy

Do you know that there are multiple (2+) people that own firearms in the UK?

based

Same, although I pay closer to 1000 euros per year.

Americans need to stop being so sick
Nothing makes me feel more angry than slackers who live unhealthy lives just to get off work for a while and lay around in a hospital bed

>Murican medical insurance doesn't cover dental cares.

Can you go back to the public system? In germany it is a one-way street

>83k pharmacy
?????????????

Sure, I never left the public system either. It's just that I may have to wait longer to see a doctor.

Don't forget the 10-15% tip!

Why do you hate freedom?
they can choose to die instead

Of course, technically I can choose which one to use.

Are we talking about GP's here and why do you have to wait exactly?

atleast they have healthcare

so it's a supplement, not a replacement?

The public system is overwhelmed and under-funded. The last time I had to use it I had to wait 2 weeks until I could see a doctor for the first time.

yes, I can still use the public system

Yes, except that the insurance also covers the small patients fees in public sector

ok, so no opting out of the tax for the public system

where in sweden? i would guess it is different depending on where you live and the demographics

Monopoly from patent or legislation?

Not exactly true, you will be seen and you don't have to pay

Attached: 1420805094782.jpg (956x631, 66K)

apparently just from there being no competition
and something about an ongoing patent dispute stopping rival companies from entering the US market

I read stories about brits being unable to get appointments because unless you call within 3 miliseconds of the office opening the appointments are gone and basically you have to queue up outside the building to get one

we can't opt out here

Östergötland

We have great advanced care here, but the primary system is underfunded and understaffed.

But I can't understand. Do you have a shortage of doctors so they have big amounts of patients before your turn comes or what?
Our system is absolute shit but you can choose your own GP at any time which are organized as licensed professionals and then compensated by the state according to their patient quota they have registered, despite in essence being essentially private health care entities. Same for dentists. If you need a specialist treatment you are then referred to one which can be either public or private, your choice but naturally the latter being more expensive but better than the public one.
But more to the point, I can simply go at my GP at any time whenever I want and need only to wait at his place if there are some people that have come right before me that day. Appointments and waiting lists do exist if I need a specialist treatment but you can easily bypass that if you opt going the private way if you can cover your own costs.

In Finland we are making this huge public healthcare reform and apparently we're going for the Swedish model of healthcare

>the pharmacy bill is insane tho, cant compute

Venom antidote is genuinely difficult and expensive to manufacture. The price still seems high, but not unrealistic like rest of the bill, especially when we take into accpount he likely needed a ton of other medicines some of them expensive on their own.

>But I can't understand. Do you have a shortage of doctors so they have big amounts of patients before your turn comes or what?

Pretty much, yes. Old people and immigrants take up a lot of their time.

also, an important thing to note is that the dude used up the entire anti venom supply of two separate hospitals

Over here, people seem to be happy with the quality of care, but the waits are too long.

>phamarcy takes up more than half of this bill alone
b-based shkreli right guys?

Same thing over here. Specialist treatments are amazing but general doctor waiting is too long. That's why I took an insurance

All of the services rendered to him cost someone time and money to procure, of course he should pay them for it. If he was in some socialist shithole like Canada he would've just been put on a 5 year waiting list and died from the venom.

Actually, healthcare where I live is great. The public services are hit or miss, but there are a lot of private clinics, and it's rather affordable too.

What? Last time I got bitten by a sneak they just gave me a serum and told me to wait in a room for like 2 hours, for free.

In Europe you die while waiting another year out of 5 for heart surgery

In America you die because you can't afford the surgery.

just pay a prostitute $50 to suck it out

>what are emergency rooms

American education, strikes again

Attached: 1349738717849.png (446x400, 390K)

lmao

What, do you think it's all free in western europe ? You think the money that pays for healthcare comes from nothing ? We pay way more taxes than americans, the money they spent on their assurance, we spend it in taxes to pay for the healthcare.

>muh taxes
still ends up being cheaper for the average citizen than american healthcare.

Doubt it. You pay taxes for the healthcare, and it only covers 65%~ of the costs, you also need to pay for an assurance on top of it.

>buy
>health
>insurance
get me out of the 3rd world shithole

That's been done deliberately by tories though. Doesn't count

>guns are not the problem mental healthcare is!!
>lol who cares if mental healthcare isn't accessible for most peopkle USA USA USA
>so sad about the shooting thoughts and prayers

america is a funny country

Attached: 1523046896630.jpg (555x445, 36K)

US has wait times too desu. Only the ultra rich get around them, which is the same as Europe

>they sabotaged themselves, presumably for the benefit of others
not sure why i am surprised. even though they are psuedo-european, they are, after all, still an*los

wirklich nicht völkisch

pic related

Attached: US_spends_much_more_on_health_than_what_might_be_expected_1_blog_main_horizontal.jpg (480x354, 61K)

everything is based on not wanting to have to pay higher taxes and thinking of oneself as a temporarily embarrassed millionaire

Americans do pay more in taxes for healthcare than most western countries, and then double that in private kek

>burgers will actually defend this

When I was hit by a car, they paid 80% after the deductible. Shit was still expensive.
