Try chatting up some randoms you bump into. Just say you're learning Polish and you'd like to chat for practice, guaranteed "O kurwa :DDD". And yeah, "understandable" is that uncomfortable "Kali jeść, Kali spać" state where you can sort of talk but not really. Keep on truckin'.
