East Germany had real GDP per capita of 49.19% of West Germany. Poland now has real GDP per capita of 63.39% of Germany. The thing is, nominally Poland is still only around 27%(lol), and while there is no figure on nominal GDP per capita of East Germany it's nominal GNP per capita looks very high(like over 60% of West Germany) so I don't really know now.
