The only news that matters really is adoption and ease-of-use. Adoption curves are usually exponential and will lead to Bubbles that inflate and pop continually. Look for the crypto that's being adopted the most or will has the potential to increase his rate of adoption. That's the news that's important but it will take years to pay off and Bubbles will inflate and deflate all the way along. You can't stop this bubble from deflating.
