O is it just a non-black american thing?
Can Black Americans trace their origins to specific African countries?
They can trace their origins to specific KFC
they were mostly bought from various west african rulers
Adrican-Americans with European surnames literally have no identity outside of being an African-American. They can't trace their roots back to any African countries
Those descended primarily from slaves cannot. They generally didn't keep records on that sort of thing as their owners did not care and the slaves themselves rarely had the means of passing that information on. However, with DNA tests, some black people do find out where their ancestors originated. I should also point out that many black people who do so end up MUH HERITAGING harder than most white Americans do.
The best most African Americans, unless 2 or 3rd generation African American can do is a DNA test that can tell them what random places their ancestors came from. Documentation of where each slave ship picked up their cargo was never done. Many African Americans have a large Caucasian and indigenous native factor in the genetic background as well.
There are some really interesting cases where regional African has been preserved such as Gullah
Also they average 20%+ European DNA.
Most come from modern day Angola
Most black people can't, since slave traders and owners didn't keep records (they didn't give a fuck where their merchandise came from). As a result, black people were basically robbed of their cultural past and identity, and are largely mutts of various different African people brought to the Americas, oftentimes with Euro mixture as well.
Fascinating.
Unless they're /poltards

most, if not all african americans orginate from the west coast of africa. places like current day Ghana, Guinea, togo, benin, liberia, sierra leone etc.
coincidentally these nations share very low average IQ's, most explain why blacks in the US are so violent and dumb
I think this is one of the most interesting Cross Atlantic African connections, there is a small village in Cuba inhabited by an Afro-Cuban community called the "Ganga-Longoba" that somehow preserved a traditional song and dance from the Banta people in Liberia for 200 years
That looks pretty cool
Interesting
>see in the comments "todays my first day as a black man, naturally i quit both my jobs"
>want to see the rest of the clip
>search "naturally i quit both my jobs" on YT
>it shows black people talking about how they "quit their jobs"
kek
No because most of us don’t come from Africa but are indegenous to North America
All blacks come from Africa dude
No it does not
I forget YouTube has other videos besides music youtu.be
No we don’t
The out of Africa theory is not factual
>The out of Africa theory is not factual
wew
> we crossed the bering strait and shiiieet
So do all whites and Asians and everyone else.
I don't think the owners would be able to know even if they wanted to. The slaves probably changed hands, from multiple African owners to European to American. Non-Africans got them from specific African sources, which in turn sourced widely.
They can get an idea through tests
