This angers the American

does it. does it really

>burgers guestimating how big a cm is
always makes me kek

Yes. I hate measuring shit and trying to guess if it's 5.674 inches or 5.676 inches.

cm makes me feel like my dick is bigger

It confuses m more tha angers me.
I do confess that it is a better unit system.
But Fahrenheit is still better than Celsius

yes it does. transparent gifs display horribly on this theme

OH NO NO NO NO

Doesn't it cost extra to have all measuring stuff in american? For example not all scales can show (kilo)grams in american.

yes I have 2 sets of every tool, one metric and one US customary. American cars have both metric and US bolts on them so I need sockets in both sizes

sorry pal

mils are only good for certain things, centimeters are fairly substantial

Fahrenheit
>water boils at 210 odd something
>water freezes at 30 odd something
>based off the saltiest non-brine water freezing temperature or something
>hmm this definitely feels like 96*F than 98*F

Celsius
>water boils at 0
>water boils at 100
>kelvin is based off it
>can tell difference between 31*C and 33*C

i don't even know man, you'll get familiar with it within a generation or two. It always confuses me for a second or two hearing that it's "100 degrees!" outside on American TV

We use metric for food and drink stuff anyway. Bottles of soda, canned food, and any sort of packed food will have ounces/fluid ounces and then (grams) or (milliliters) in parentheses.
If you don't feel like divining how much each different kind of ounce is (especially since a popular tactic of manufacturers is to reduce the amount of stuff they put in something while keeping the price of the package the same) you just look at the metric units because they're 'real' and are more specific than the burger ones.

>12 inches in a foot
>5280 feet in a mile
>32F is freezing
>212F is boiling
>16oz is one pound
>2000 pounds in a ton

I wish we used the metric system instead of this bullshit

10mm in a cm
100cm in a m
1000m in a km
100*C is boiling
0*C is freezing
1000g in a kg
1000kg in a tonne
1000mL in a L

>haha americans are so stupid they don't understand the metric system
SHUT THE FUCK UP, WE LEARN IT TOO

>American cars have both metric and US bolts on them so I need sockets in both sizes
what the fuck

how tall are you in cm roughly without calculating it

Not all parts come from same factory.

Every time an american says how long his dick is in inches i imagine a micropenis

Is the second the same in burgerland?

>+40c very warm
>-40c very cold
>american: this just doesn't makes any sense at all

Attached: 1539542459339.jpg (1024x1004, 244K)

i have to think about it for a few sec. about 1,5m to 2.00m roughly, about right?

Every american ever had to convert it online when i told them my size in cm....

the second what

>normal body temperature is 36 3/4

i love the metric system

kek im wondering if americans are just trolling if they say metric is not intuitive or theyre genuine.

To be fair, my city gets to 40C in the summer and -30C in the winter

The second, the measure of time. Is imperial second the same as the metric second?

>Fahrenheit
>pyf when you realize 100F was the temperature of a cows anus
That's how it was devised.

How does being able to approximate values relate to understanding how the metric system works?

man when I do repairs on my JDM car I always try to fix it using metric hardware, but it's not always possible because we only have inch stuff in canada. fuck this bullshit

and i love you, bambina rogazza

>let me base my measuring system on how hot my asshole is

Attached: 1532958034748.jpg (305x446, 19K)

You just proved the point of my thread kek

Attached: django lol.png (470x470, 412K)

>we only have inch stuff in canada
what do you mean? you surely have metric wrenches and bolts and nuts and what not in any hardware store. even in the us you can buy them easily.

well we grow up with US customary which makes metric foreign to us.

if you understand the metrics then you should have an idea what it means when I tell you im 193cm tall.
And not be completely clueless until you convert it.

Working in engineering makes me hate imperial units even more. Conversions everywhere

Normie thing to call everything intuitive what you are used to.
But truth is that base10 system was a mistake. Makes my blood boil when someone says the "because of ten fingers" crap.

It's much more logical to use 0 and 100 for the freezing and boiling points of water than to have those at 32 and 212 degrees respectively.
