Why don't Americans have mercy?

Or ever show compassion towards those less fortunate than them?

Isn't it strange how Americans are so much more religious than Europeans, yet for all their piousness and love for Christian values, they don't seem to give two shits about their fellow countrymen suffering from lack of healthcare, crippling debt, gun violence, homelessness and worse?

They constantly praise trickle down economics at the expense of others, reject social welfare - even though it's been proven so many times in Europe and elsewhere that it helps to prevent people from hitting rock bottom and to get back on their feet.
Instead they shrug, and say "Well, you're on your own buddy" .

We give shitloads in foreign aid

no

>We give shitloads in foreign aid

Only to Israel

The churches which run thousands, possibly millions, of homeless shelters, soup kitchens, food pantries, thrift stores, hospitals, schools, and nursing homes.

they just make the best use of it

Good, Israel can fuck over the middle east better now

If Poland could take 3 bln dollar in free-ride-funds per year, we would be the most successful country in Europe. Unfortunately, nobody gives us anything for free. Especially the fucking USA

The value of your foreign aid is high but as a percentage of your GDP it's insignificant

You do to some degree. With our health care system (mandatory private insurance), our gay rights, prostitution, weed, abortions, etc. And this has been going on since we founded our country as a republic, with the first multinationals and so on.

We've always been a bit like a testing ground for the western world. Recently with the net neutrality, which for some reason didn't pass in the USA.

Also
>giving your own time, talent, and treasure to help your neighbor
Vs.
>voting and shilling for policies that place the charity burden on everyone else, while not lifting a finger yourself, and calling yourself virtuous for it

We keep the Russians from skull fucking Europe

Y’all should be grateful

didn't germany invest a shitload of money into your cunt to build up your economy

>net neutrality
Back to Jow Forumseddit. That was a bandwagon panic that has long since been forgotten.

>the value of your foreign aid is high

Then that’s all that matters

We've had it since 2012. The first western country with it (as Chile had it before us).

It was a bandwagon thing for you, but not for us.

Americans have too much mercy imo

People were actually panicking about it. Without exaggeration, some were treating it like a life or death issue. The first mass hysteria I have ever witnessed real-time.

Is this thread to show how little you know?

It reminds me why I rarely come to Jow Forums any more, it's shit, like this thread

We have social welfare here and it’s heavily abused

Here's your charity bro

In the Netherlands all politicians supported net neutrality unanimously. And everyone was happy about it.

My internet is none the worse for wear without it.

They belive the unfortunate are haterd by God. See, prosperity gospel.

Well, your internet is worse. But that has nothing to do with net neutrality. But it could be in the future. It's a law that protects the status quo.

Shaping traffic is unnecessary, so we didn't want that. We already had unlimited internet before it and it worked just fine.
We don't want small players and startups to get pushed off the market by big players making traffic deals with each other or excluding websites from the internet.
And ISP's aren't allowed to scan our traffic as it's none of their business.

It was the Dutch European Commissioner that also introduced net neutrality in the EU. But in the EU other countries wanted to compromise on it, so we now have worse net neutrality laws than before.

Americans believe in the prosperity gospel, that those who are poor, sick and unluckily are hated by god. The people who are successful are loved by god and thus you can treat people who are worse of like shit because god loves you more than them.

Imagine trying to compete with YouTube but only with half the internet speed. That won't fly.

You dont keep anyone from doing shit. Russias economy is the size of italy they couldnt afford a proper war and they arent totalitarian enough to do it anyway. Not to mention that no one would profit of a war, not russia not us.

>not totalitarian
Yet, unfortunately.
(Toвapищ мaйop, нe бeйтe)

USA will always be our best ally. It's somewhat embarrassing how our politicians are desperately trying to find new allies in the EU now the UK is leaving (no, Germany's franco-centric/anti-Dutch policy is not helping) while they forget those outside them. I hope you'll never us.

America is the #1 nation that donated and contributed the most social needs to the outside world. None of the eurofags really cared they just decolonized them and left them rot

This. In America being poor is like a disease - a condition. So noone wants "those people" around.

How are those Cantonese lessons going? Are you learning, mainlander?

But it is

Watching these people do mental gymnastics trying to explain immoral shit is priceless
personal favorite was "I love children, but if the parents didn't break the law, we wouldn't have to put them in cages."

mexicans arent people

you see it on Jow Forums all the time, anything bad in their country doesn't apply to ~them~ it only affects black people

>look mom i am being edgy on an anime board

t unironic Nazi

Because I am not a country, faggot. I am not competing with anyone and I can only comment on what I see.

>Mexicans aren't people
