Isn't it strange how Americans are so much more religious than Europeans, yet for all their piousness and love for Christian values, they don't seem to give two shits about their fellow countrymen suffering from lack of healthcare, crippling debt, gun violence, homelessness and worse?
They constantly praise trickle down economics at the expense of others, reject social welfare - even though it's been proven so many times in Europe and elsewhere that it helps to prevent people from hitting rock bottom and to get back on their feet. Instead they shrug, and say "Well, you're on your own buddy" .
The churches which run thousands, possibly millions, of homeless shelters, soup kitchens, food pantries, thrift stores, hospitals, schools, and nursing homes.

Well, your internet is worse. But that has nothing to do with net neutrality. But it could be in the future. It's a law that protects the status quo.
Shaping traffic is unnecessary, so we didn't want that. We already had unlimited internet before it and it worked just fine. We don't want small players and startups to get pushed off the market by big players making traffic deals with each other or excluding websites from the internet. And ISP's aren't allowed to scan our traffic as it's none of their business.
It was the Dutch European Commissioner that also introduced net neutrality in the EU. But in the EU other countries wanted to compromise on it, so we now have worse net neutrality laws than before.
