Reading is for fags.
Who was it Descartes wanted me to give the dick to anyway?
>French
>philosophers
No thank you
Some of these arent philosophers in the German sense of the word, they're more akin to thinkers.
Focault and the feminist should be automatically disqualified.
What do you mean?
t American intellectual
Beauvoir wasn't even that insane compared to modern feminists.
Pretentious cunts who can't form a coherent thought
Fucking hated reading Camus in highschool
the only french philosophy I know of is surrender and I'm not a fan
I like Camus. He speech when he won the nobel was great
Bunch of them were also outright communists.
lal
Absolutely based.
Where's Bauderlaire?
Does he really count as a philosopher? More of a poet.
All of them actually.
Didn't Russian intellectuals traditionally jerk off anything French?
Being an intellectual in France is a family business. Belonging to the French intelligentsia is something that is acquired by birth.
DInd't he die of AIDS or something?
The entire Russian "nobility" did.
anything french or g*rman is disgusting in my book.
Yes.
A bunch of poseurs, except for Descartes
Not at the intellectual level of the Germans
Descartes is the only French thinker that completely changed the game. Germany had several.
Camus and Sartre stop being relevant once you've gotten past your junior year of college.

*high school
We have two actually.
One is spinoff from French, other is our own based on greek-byzantine intellectual tradition.
Idk, Descarte never has that charm that German philosophers have
Actually existentialism in general.
this
At least she did acknowledge that Islam is very bad for women indeed, which few modern feminists are willing to say.
the only philosopher I recognize here is Rousseau and Voltaire
Rousseau is not there actually, because despite being a 100% ethnic Frenchman he was technically a Sw*ss citizen
reading is for people with homosexual tendencies
Be quiet before I suck your dick
He's one of the most important out of the bunch desu
Bauderlaire was another of those "Everybody's stupid but me." types.
Rimbaud was way better than Baudelaire. People treated him like a rockstar in 19th century France.
"The more artistic one becomes, the less inclined he is to the pleasures of the flesh. In the final analysis, fornication is the art of the brute."
>dies of syphilis
They're the reason we're all fucked today
Foucault is the only decent French philosopher of his era. The others were all quacks.
degenerates
Focault was a degenerate too desu.
I think only Foucault was a true degenerate. Still the best and most insightful of the bunch. It's amazing just how much better America was at philosophy during the time period, but that's probably because Joe McCarthy stopped it from turning into a field for the development of communist strategy.
>camus
>philosopher
no
Sartre was the worst
Nausea is an enjoyable read regardless of whether or not you ascribe to the ideology that he's promoting
No Exit is enjoyable too.
Existentialism is only taken seriously by people who take Philosophy 101 or an introductory existentialism course and never bother to read past it. It should be something you grow past and is an indicator of how plebby their philosophical knowledge is.
At least he didn't literally die of AIDS from fucking buttholes in the San Francisco bathhouses.
The strangest thing. Most people want the best for the world and their children but they're horribly wrong about economics and global relativism.
HIV is a social construct
