Turtlecoin is by far my heaviest bag, and I bought skycoin so thats saying something.
Turtlecoin was dead on arrival for one reason only: they fucked up their emission rate. Its way, way way too high and will still be too high for another 100 years. Literally a century, I looked it up. This means it will always be worth less than one satoshi, which means it cant be traded effectively. If it were possible to trade turtlecoin for a tiny fraction of a satoshi then turtlecoin might still have a viable future. But its not so it doesnt.

Emission rate is fine since it only has 2 decimal places. That said I would be all for reducing the emission rate to 10% of what it is now and adding 1 more decimal place.
But, is it really too high? At 1 say it has a 1 million usd market cap, that isn't high at all. There are.. I want to say 16 billion turtles now? Next year will be like 32 or so, so if it stays 1 sat that's a 2 MM market cap. I think it can go to 50 MM.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not telling anybody to buy turtle. I would suggest buying nothing right now, maybe ETH, ARK if you're ballsy. What I'm saying is you're wrong about the emission rate. It's fine.
