This is about the Earth Day. What does 有り体な言い方 mean here? I know 有り体に言えば, "frankly speaking", and I get that 有り体 is sorta "as is", but I don't get the meaning in this particular sentence. Is it like, "it may sound obvious"? Like, "it may sound obvious, and some may say the phrase 'be kind to the Earth' is just human ego, but we should worry about the planet sometimes".

I think it's just "a straightforward way of putting it." And it's talking about 地球にやさしい being such a 有り体な言い方.
When should I use ''Tomodachi'' and ''Otomodachi''?

Second one would be more for another person's tomodachis.

Somebody told me that japanese pronunciation is simple because each mora can only be spoken in one way. But すき can be read "ssski" and "suki".

Japanese pronunciation is simple, but many people don't know how to speak properly so they slur words together. It's like how ghetto people speak english.

Trivia for the day:
>The morpheme hito (人 (ひと), person) (with rendaku -bito (〜びと)) has changed to uto (うと) or udo (うど), respectively, in a number of compounds. This in turn often combined with a historical vowel change, resulting in a pronunciation rather different from that of the components, as in nakōdo (仲人 (なこうど), matchmaker) (see below). These include:
I'm interested into foreign languages. Also want to see Japan for some time. Aside that for sure it'll be good point in resume. Why?
Jayden Torres
Looking at it objectively the time investment you have to put into Japanese compared to literally any other language is so massive if you don't have a very specific motivation to do it you should not bother.
If you half ass studying Japanese you can easily sink years into it and not get anywhere. If you're just in it for the language learning look at something else.

Thanks, that make sense.

Learn Chinese, it's useful and it also has the cool hieroglyphs. :^)

Chinese is probably much harder to learn than Japanese
I'm beginning to doubt the core decks. Why does あなた come after 30 different words for business, water canal, and some N1 word for fastening a seatbelt or something?
Jacob Parker
If you've already learned it, why do you care what order it's in?
