I live in Michigan and Latinos constitute about two percent of the overall population. Most of them are clustered in and around Detroit, a city I don't live in or near.
Having said that, I've traveled to about a half-dozen Latin American countries. Planning to visit Colombia for a while over the summer and take Spanish lessons. But I'm only doing that for the experience and joy of learning. Frankly, I have virtually no use for the language in everyday life.
