Why do Yanks think we're fucking socialist?

We're far from being socialist. We're even more corporate friendly than america.
I swear to god, if could debate AOC or Bernie I'd go hard on those shitheads.

shut up you damn commie

Nowadays Bernie prefers to talk about Denmark. He used to be a fan of Ortega, Chavez, Brezhnev, lots of other communists

But he's intentionally deceiving people then!

to americans, good standard of living, benefits, long holidays and public healthcare/education is socialist

and no you are not more corporate friendly than america because then you wouldnt be in the EU

Because you have high income tax

Why are americans so jewie with their money?
>and no you are not more corporate friendly than america because then you wouldnt be in the EU
We literally are. We have less regulations and lower corporate tax and new businesses get tax cuts for 6 months.

We are fine with all of those being provided by our employers, we just don't want the government doing it. Full medical insurance is a common benefit provided by American employers.

>common
"full medical insurance" sounds so american and so meaningless, you will lose your house if you get cancer
thats called being competitive nowadays

But you open up for being exploited as fuck. You essentially let a private person who's main goal is to gain capital control your life.

>you will lose your house if you get cancer
The government gives you a lot of money if you suffer from a fatal chronic illness like cancer.

Well tbqh Bernie would be your typical centre leftist in europe. I don't get whats the big deal about him is

They must provide benefits or their company will never find workers. Companies must compete with their benefits to attract the most workers. Other countries do the same with pay, we just take it a step further.

Also, if you get sick you could lose your job in america, not the case here. Also if you lose your job, you get 80% of your wage during 200 days so you can find a new job without stress.

depends on what you signed up for. Some companies require no contract, you just start working and they can fire you whenever they want. Other companies provide workers rights that make sure that you can't be fired in the case of chronic illness. It's just not regulated and it's all up to the employer.

Those companies have gotten the borders flung open and have more labor than they could ever dream of. They don't need us.

>They must provide benefits or their company will never find workers
But that's just not the case is it? There will always be desperate people and if I've american politics for some time now and it seems that its a genuine problem.
The wall isn't just there because of xenophobia. Trump isn't putting tariffs on china because he's mean.

Americans are very onedimensional in their interpretation of politics
Sweden has a system called state capitalism

Here the former does not exist and is illegal because of obvious reasons.

If you have an unskilled job maybe.
depends on the occupation.

>If you have an unskilled job maybe.
Pajeet and Zhang got you white collars covered there.

yeah being in an organisation which exists purely to reduce trade barriers and make a huge labour pool is so anti corporation

I don't live on the coast, there's no Zhangs and Pajeets here

>Full medical insurance is a common benefit provided by American employers.

Because state labor laws mandate it. Do you think your boss does it because he likes you?

not yet

Would you look at that. I knew Shecklestein wasn't that generous.

you got that wrong angloid
>noble european enterprises
such as VW group, dutch banks and alike=good, we like them
>foreign evul corporation
ZOG american google and amazon, fine them to death

>VW group
>good

heil

Blame American conservatives. They call any politician who advocates for the same government benefits that all other developed countries have a Marxist.

A 70% marginal rate is clearly way too high, especially since they got rid of the state and local deduction. It would end up being like 90% including every level of government; you don't have to be a Reaganite to think that would end up being so high it would reduce revenue

What's federal tax rate?

Fucking ice just tripping people up

I'm always amazed at how blurry the definition of socialism is.
They seem to use the word to describe every government funded policy in the US.

ABOLISH ICE

Because in the burger political landscape he is so far left that he might as well be Karl Marx in their eyes.

Socialism should be defined as the state owning the means of production, no less.

yanks also think the EU was made with socialist purposes, when its main purpose is a capitalistic trade union

This article made want to cook up a joint.

>Insofar as socialism is about collective ownership of the means of production, an objective observer would have to declare Norway the more socialist of the two.
and in just one paragraph prior he says that Norwegians have a collective ownership of capital

Attached: 1532438552894.gif (384x216, 280K)

I think he means:
Norway: state oil>collectively owned capital fund>welfare
Venezuela: state oil>welfare

Not sure how Norway is more socialistic because of the fund existing. I don't think the fund's policy is set by referenda. Politicians still control how that money is used.

EU is super corporate friendly. Most eu norms are pushed for by coorporations to simply things. Common regulation on a large market is very apealing. EU also forces countries to accept foreign competitors. Not to mention the free trade deals.

but state-owned companies does not mean socialism

>EU also forces countries to accept foreign competitors
That's not good for most companies, as they face a high risk of being competed out of existence. It's more good for consumers

Its simple capitalism. Only furthers the point that eu is not fucking socialist.

That's fucking germany for you

If anything it makes norway less socialist. Socialists seem to have a strong dislike for finance in generell and no idea how to run an economy. That fits venezuela. Not to mention that both chavez and maduro call themselves socialist. Also venezuela enacted price controlls that fucked over their farmers, also a quite socialist thing.
