It won't. I'm 99% sure it will be either set in Poland because they showed the Battle of Grunwald in the trailer and Henry fighting in it historically makes sense as there were Bohemian mercenaries in Polish employ there, or it will be set in Kuttenberg during the Hussite war which the first game sort of hints at. Prague is too big to pull off realistically with a stable framerate.

I can't imagine full detailed city on bloat engine, Cryengine. The drop FPS is the worst on Rataje, especially if you install the game on Hard Drive with limited RAM. (I upgraded my RAM to 16 because it the performance was unbearable).
But it might be worth it, just to time travel into Prague in 15th c.

For some reason my FPS would drop to 20-30 at the Inn in the Glade. I turned the graphics to the lowest yet it would still tank, that's where I realized this game have some issues.

Last time I checked, my performance drop is coming from translation layer between Directx11, Vulkan, and all of that linux API calls. My friend with GTX1070 runs just fine like this guy .
I did test the game on my portable Windows drive, It ran stable with better performance, 1080p with 60FPS. It could be your CPU that bottlenecks your performace

It rapes even 2080 with dips to 30-40 in heavily crowded towns and completely random areas like the castle in Rattay

When i bought this game i had HD 7870 and was surprised that with 2gb vram it was able to run it kcd on medium in 60 fps but after 3-4 hours game used to drop fps and i had to reboot

It's great for duels because it's based on medieva HRE martial arts. Anything against more than 3 opponents is tedious because you can't lock on and off on the spot and it becomes floaty, you have to kite them with a bow or poison their food.

It's a fun game but clearly unpolished, and the fact that instead of fixing and cleaning up the game, they released subpar DLC is pretty insulting. The story is really uninspired as well, nothing to really care about and it wasn't particularly compelling. Some mechanics also really render the "realistic" part of the game moot, like potions, your horse, and higher tier perks, but I suppose you do have the choice not to use them.

What I did like was the general game design though, the lack of spoonfeeding and the freedom you get in finishing side quests - I was impressed on several occasions just by how many things you can do that wasn't marked or suggested in your journal, but was contingent on your own initiative. The last story game I played before that was RDR2 which railroaded you pretty hard. I did enjoy it enough to play 60 or so hours, but after finishing the story I have no real desire to ever play it again and I really can't strongly recommend it unless you really like sword and olden time games.

Yes, they could pull it off in Assassins Creed, GTA or Witcher 3 style games etc. but the cool thing about KC:D was the small but deep scope so I'd take a small town that is 100% explorable over a big one any day.

Kingdom Come was great, especially the forests feel extremely real and like home, i can go outside and see exact same forest close to my house
only issue i had, i couldn't figure out the lockpicking, but once i learned that i have to just keep the dot in one place instead of moving it myself, it became extremely easy
also the combat is very easy once you master one move(pump the strenght and just push the enemy around and hit him once, then repeat) but at the same time the combos are too difficult to launch, because who the fuck remembers all these combinations and has time to do them during intense combat
