Have you ever talked to a foreigner about education systems before? They are fucking shocked once you tell them how Gymnasium/Realschule/Hauptschule operate or that only 90% of students pass the bac.

Our school system was selective maybe until 20 years ago. Now everyone with an IQ over 90 can pass the Abitur. Haupschule and Realschule are shitskin central at this point.

The German Gymnasium is basically French highschool + integrated prépa. There is no prépa or concours here. Once you have your Abitur you immediately start studying. There are no Grandes Écoles, the public research universities are the gold standard and have the most prestige. Specialized schools only have the status of IUTs.

Similar thing. Generally, while schools, I think ,get the same funding regardless, kids can choose where they want to go and priority goes to the ones scoring the most based on certain metrics. For both universities and liceum/technikum (there is something like vocational school but they generally suck while technikum is respectable),you generally have shit public schools, average public schools, good public, and private schools for either rich snobs or retards who hope they can get a degree with money for universities.

Albeit some top tier liceums are thought to be for snobs anyway just because you need to work way too hard just to get there.

Then those are for white people from Brazil and not real Brazilians; someone like Jorge Lemann.

I have noticed in professional setting in NYC none of the Brazilians actually look Brazilian.

We have a few private boarding schools. Lundsberg being the most famous. Large part of Swedish royalty graduated from there. I have a classmate at Uni who went there. Seems normal but his parents are obviously wealthy. Other than that, some public schools in Stockholm require a very high GPA, not necessarily because they're better, but because the inner city schools are desirable and have lots of applicants.

Also most cities have that one public highschool that somehow is 99% posh kids from the suburbs despite being right in the centre.

We have a sort of similiar system but they start to get separated at the age of 12 in their respective tiers of schools(?): vmbo (that has another 4 subcategories), havo and vwo. You can only go to university after directly after high school if you did vwo. As for the private schools we don't really have a lot of actual private schools, our public schools are pretty good. Hell, the entire royal family attends public elementary/high school right now

Here in Slovakia we don't really have anything like this. The private schools are here seen as the easy way for rich kids to get through the highschool. Same goes for Unis here.
Even rich kids go to the public schools. Although we have like 3 really great highschools here and most of the children with ambitions are trying to get there.
