-12C ~ 23C is the comfy range
And next summer.
is it snowing in dublin and madrid yet
also
>nosnowtugal
depends on wind chill
i hope so. last summer was perfect
The severe climates are safety device of the human screen the weak.
i thank god everyday i live in comfy california
for comparison that same day
im freezing right now, i can't feel my toes.
What the hell is going on with Global Waming? Please come back fast, we need you!
What site is this? I need one for the polar temps today and tomorrow.
Meteorciel.fr it's written
It says on the pic
Coldest I have ever experienced was -24C one morning which was a freak occurrence where I live.
Honestly I couldn't tell the difference from the normal -5C with the way it felt against my face and skin.
Only noticeable difference was that the rubber on the bicycle tyres were stiff and it felt like riding on square wheels and eventually the rear one exploded and I had to walk the rest of the way to the bus.
Meteorology is interesting at desu
I remember reading that the very top of Texas has December record high 26 C and low -26 C.
That's sort of crazy when you think about it. Leave to work in short shorts and boom, when you leave work it's -26C and your nuts freeze off.
I just got ptsd.
Was that considered a severe heat wave?
It's dropping quick here, gonna be a cold morning.
Same
i fucking hate winter
Me to, me to.. I miss my summerhouse..
Wind chill is a meme. A jacket negates the effects of wind chill so that it feels the same coldness as if it would without wind.
do you put a jacket on your face?
No. However your face is only a small fraction of your body surface area, so the wind would barely affect your core temperature.
i love this place in the summer, but having to suffer 7-8 months just to enjoy that short period of time feels like too much for me..
true but the freezing wind hitting your chin, nose and ears feels worse than your arms or legs
Wind chill is anything but a meme, I dare you to go to some place that's both cold and windy and I can promise you you'd prefer it being thrice as cold without the wind. I've been to Iceland and that shit is awful. It should be rechristened to land of rain and wind.
Maybe living in extremely mild New Zealand has made me cynical about "wind chill". Would 0 with wind have a noticeable effect in your opinion? I've felt 0 with wind, and only a jacket was needed to make you feel warm. How low temperature do you need for wind chill to take effect?
>Wind chill is a meme
No it's not. I work outside and after several hours even normal temps like -15C hurts when the wind is howling. Doesn't matter how wind proof your clothes is. And any skin that is out in the open burns. Today it was -34C here and I was outside for over 10 hours. Not a problem since there was no wind at all.
from my personal experience, wind doesn't make extreme cold any worse since you'll be wearing so much shit on that you won't feel it at all, and unless you are only going out for less than 5 minutes you'll be covering half your face with a scarf or ski mask or whatever you fancy
having walked 30mins back home in around -26c today i didn't feel the wind almost at all, only exception to this was when i felt my eyelashes were freezing together
denmark is pretty much same climate as new zealand i think. it's 0c outside now but it feels like -3c so it's not too bad
>even normal temps like -15C
Hahahaha oh god Scandinavia is hell
Kek, -15C is comfy. That's swimming weather.
You lot are mad bastards. Don’t think I’ve ever experienced less than -6 in my life
why do brits have poor constitution
>How low temperature do you need for wind chill to take effect?
For example, was -19°C here today. But with the 18m/s wind it was categorized as -38°C by the weather stations. Wind makes sub-zero temps feel a lot worse. At 0°C the wind might make it feel like it's -3°C. And then a jacket would help. But we have colder days than that in summer here.
Coldest day here in town was -42°C. Average temperature here is -18°C. For the last two weeks it's been -25°C or colder. Not saying that to brag, I prefer summer but that's how it is. We are used to it, you are not. Makes one hell of a difference. Coldest I've ever felt in general was up in the mountains when I was younger. The thermometer only read to -60°C and that thing maxed out. Was storm strength winds and I seriously thought I was gonna die. I was so cold I couldn't think even though I had on 6-7 layers of clothes, including a full arctic parkas kit with thermo-pants and boots.
Go out naked in that and you die in a matter of minutes.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>Last summer
Jesus.. I will probably remember last years summer until the day I die. Honestly, before that I barely experienced +30 degrees more than a handful of times.
Then BAM three months of hell with those temps. And no rain. I wonder what this years summer will be like.
My apartment reached 46°C in July. Top floor, no AC, big windows in the sun all day, just two fans blowing the humid and hot air around. I have ptsd just thinking about it.
>eurocucks consider this hot
You what?
>sweden
>46°c
riiiiiight
Not him but yes? He's not talking about outside temps, but inside his apartment.
My car reached 60+ last summer standing parked in the sun. If you don't have air conditioning the temperature builds up.
Inside my apartment yep, was 32°C outside.
AC units sold out in all of Sweden during May already, I had no luck finding one. Many people had the same problem here
This.
How didn't you northerners melt ?
Lot's of old people died and we had gigantic forest fires that Poland, Italy, France and other countries sent fire trucks, planes and people to help stop. Big parts of Sweden had temps reaching 30-35C for almost 3 months in a row. I have never experienced anything like it before.
you know just closing the curtains stops the heat coming in right?
holy kike shit Chicago must be freezing their balls off
sorry english is my native language, why do brits have such weak constitutions?
I had both sun blocking curtains and extra blankets in the windows. Didn't help a damn thing.
Houses in Sweden aren't built to keep heat away, they are built to stay warm. I could literally feel the heat on the concrete walls inside.
best summer
Do you know what were the temperatures before ? you know before modernity, surely i wasn't like this before
Why are you chatting shit you fat cunt?
Average (normal) summer temperatures here in Sweden is between 18-24°C.
>closing the curtains stops the heat coming in right
Maybe if you have an AC to keep the air cold. Otherwise it just slows down the heat build up.
i just want to know what made modern britons so frail. was it banking?
feel good
20+ gang reporting in
Not at all, there are no extremes shown here.
When are you going back spic ?
lol you guys think those are temperature extremes
it's -15 and I just got up to run my morning lap.
AMA
Where is Norway? Why not just run indoors at that point? You would be getting a much more effective workout rather than playing around in the snow.
*where in Norway?
Near Oslo
I'm just kidding btw , i just wanted to see how you would respond.
-29° here AMA
Minneapolis bro? Adopting the Russian mindset and drinking a ton because no class tomorrow at the U, so what else to do in this weather
white people were made for the cold mutt, we dont all have your shitskin heat resistance
lel most of scandinavia is mild bro
Yeah suburbs below the Twin Cities. I have been staying home to ride out the weather and doing work online to pass the time
Its ok. I am a white desert transplant.
Today I found the 4 $1 dollar bills I had in a drawer at my cubical had been taken. Fucking 3 feet tall cleaning ladies needed some more money for taco seasoning I guess.
I wasn't able to get my afternoon can coci coli from the drink machine.
>A jacket negates the effects of wind chill
holy fuck you dumb nigger
You are like a little babby, watch this.
The coldest city in New Zealand is warmer than the warmest city in Denmark.
Same here. The coldest I've experienced was -6.
>e*ropoids think this weather can even be considered remotely hot
AHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
Yeah it's complete ass. And I have a bad bowel disorder, so if it gets cold too fast I have to take 3 shits in the morning. I can't even shower in the morning anymore because the rapid temperature change fucks me and I'm not gay enough to use a hair dryer.
Except their recording was at 3pm and this one is at 9pm.
Australia and New Zealand have much more severe UV radiation than Europe, so hot days paired with UV make it feel like your skin is burning off even with layers of sunscreen lathered on. In our countries, the apparent heat of in the shade and out in the open feels much different.
>Who are Inuit
>Who are Yakut
>-15
>Classes cancelled
>Work cancelled for the rest of the week cause boss doesn't feel like coming in with all the shit weather
Could be worse.
It's easy to forget that Europe is mostly 50-60 degrees north and the sun is at a lower angle in the sky.
Objectively false, Europe is temperate as fuck, and downright Africa-tier in some parts (Spain, Italy, parts of Balkanlar, etc.). Even Scandis live in rather mild weather for the most part: except for a few towns way up North, the vast majority of cities in Noway/Sweden/Iceland have VERY mild winters. The only people who natively live in places with real (read: non-faggy) winters are chugs (Cree, Inuits, etc.), steppeniggers (Mongols, Siberian Turks, Kazakhs, etc.), Finns, and pretty much every group in present-day Russia except for those by the Black Sea coast.
Southern hemisphere has the ozone hole at higher lattitutes, so there is nowhere in my hemisphere to escape the blistering UV radiation.
