But on the other hand, although there are far too many people like her, most Germans are quite pragmatic and just want to live in a decent country where all people are treated with respect. This is part of the reason there is growing anti-immigrant sentiment, not so much for xenophobic or racist reasons but just that some immigrants are not respecting their country and their culture. In general when talking to Germans they were fairly responsive to addressing criticisms of mass immigration. I am not anti-immigration at all, I just think you need to be reasonable about things and make sure the people coming in are at least trying to contribute to society. I would say a majority of Germans agree with this, but there is very strong social pressure to not criticize immigration or refugees because you might be a badman Nazi.

I had some very weird experiences with Germans trying way too hard to be welcoming to brown people which I can elaborate on if anyone cares. It is a little uncanny in a way and in some cases it is becoming very dogmatic, but again there are probably many more who would treat any immigrant just the same as any other person, whether they are behaving in a positive of a negative manner.

All things considered Germany is not bad, it is mostly a very safe country and the people are interesting and mostly friendly if sometimes a little uptight. But they are cucking their young generation quite hard so I do have some slight concerns for their future.

Yes I would go so far as to say that a lot of people, young women especially, are literally brainwashed. I call them reverse Nazis, the same blind dogmatic ideological obsession which led to Nazis in the first place, but going in the opposite direction.

But I do have faith in the German people and hope that the trend starts to shift back the other ways soon. It's OK to be a little protective of your country and your culture. Some parts of Berlin are a fucking disgusting third world slum purely because of the friendly Somalis trying to help you with fake drugs and relieve you of your wallet. Yeah exactly like I said in my other post, reverse Nazis. I think these people exist everywhere but they are brainwashed in that particular way in Germany whereas they are just brainwashed into mindless consumerism and narcissism in most western countries, so it isn't as bad as it seems. Just gotta learn who to avoid, I met plenty of genuinely open minded and free thinking people too.

Being critical of Germany is a strong part of their culture. If you criticize France to a French person they will often get offended in spite of the fact that they say the same shit themselves, New Zealand is the same. "If you don't like it then fuck off" is pretty much the attitude here. Germans are more responsive, and are generally pleased if they dislike something about Germany and you agree with them. This critical attitude has helped them to improve their country to be one of the most successful on earth, but also contributed to a bit of excessive bureaucracy and other slightly irritating things about life there. National pride is something that is generally frowned upon, nationalism is more or less equated with white supremacy.

Regarding refugees and immigration specifically, there are a lot of people there who will put you into the badman group and refuse to even speak with you if you take even a slight issue with immigration, or are perceived to be racist in any way.

For example my home town is a mostly Maori town and a white person growing up there encounters some difficulties. I was trying to explain this and the socio-economic issues generally affecting Maoris to a """friend""" there in the most politically correct terms possible, but she deemed every stupid little thing that wasn't just mindlessly repeating BEAUTIFUL CULTURE LOVE WINS as being a sign of some underlying racism. This is in spite of the fact that she was hanging out with me and my Maori friends when we first met in New Zealand and should surely have seen that I don't hold any real prejudices and don't treat anyone differently on account of race. In the end she didn't want to be friends anymore which was no big loss because she was borderline retarded and had zero to contribute to any conversation other than "I went to this place and the food was good"...

Yeah that was pretty much my impression. It's good to go to party hard but it was one of very few places in Europe that I was really happy to be leaving, partly because I got a hostel in the shittest area right by Goerlitzer park because it was cheapest, and all the reviews painted it as some alternative multicultural haven of enlightenment when actually it's a crime filled shit hole.
There are nice parts of the city though, I think my opinion would been very different if I had stayed in a better area.
