In coming days there will be -20 to -50 degrees Celcius in USA.
It is so called "polar vortex" and it moves above USA.

There was already record frost temperatures today.

Emergency was just now declared:
-Wisconsin
-Michigan
-Illinois

IT IS COLDER THAN IN ANTARCTICS

You do realize this isn't our first rodeo, right? Shit like this happens almost every year, it's just worse this time around. I spent a good 20 minutes outside earlier trying to get my car started. Since I now have the day off work I'm thinking about walking to see if a cafe I like is open.

>t. -30 C
>t. -43 C windchill

Literally no one has ever said this, so congrats on beating zero people in debate I guess.

my grandfather fought under these conditions on the eastern front in summer uniform

They're literally setting tracks on fire to keep the from freezing over.

-20C is absolutely nothing

yeah and he died a horrible death, alone in the biting cold wishing he'd never had set foot there. It wasn't worth it.

Awesome.
Sounds dangerous tho

You can always spot a brainlet by the pathetic way they oversimplify complex ideas. Their underdeveloped brains just can't comprehend anything that isn't a football game or a Ben Shapiro video

your grandfather sounds like a real jerk

This. The actual temperature in Yakutsk right now is -44 C and they're not complaining.

God, why are midwesterners such sissies?

How are plywood houses supposed to handle -40°?

>southern ontario
Waterloo was at -25C this morning.

I wonder if the couple homeless people that are always on King and Uni are still there.

Barely, We use these big heaters for our power switches which helps

While that guy is an idiot, only a fool glorifies complexity.

A genius know simplicity is best.

>monkey fingers hammer frantically from the favela

We have large fat deposits that keep us warm

lmao you cannot be over 16, at least mentally

That's a quote from Einstein though.

What do you have against neonates? I'm hospitas in Chicago will be properly insulated.

sure hospitals. Fuck phone-posting.

>a dynamic nonlinear system like earth's climate can be reduced to an idea that a monkey like you could process
No one is "glorifying" complexity you fucking retard. He simply said that is complex. It is by every metric an extraordinarily complex system that we still won't completely understand for centuries, possibly ever.

Your post just proved him right by the way:

You realize your first response, to start with, was to a shitpost? To the Brit flag, I mean.

Every nerd should die desu. t. A nerd

-20c before windchill ain't that bad. When I was a kid I would walk a mile to the bus stop and wait fifteen minutes for it to show up when it was even colder than that from time to time. That is to say, I'm not dead so you're dumb (or at least being hyperbolic)

Honestly though I have no experience with -50c before windchill. I live in an area where the coldest it's ever gotten while I've been alive was -23c (maybe -26c while I was asleep or something as a kid, I don't know). In any case I have no idea what the fuck anything past that feels like.

God needs to try harder then, this is weak shit for my area.

Not complaining, but you guys do get it a lot harder. Talking to a "friend" from Manitoba earlier who was talking about how it was down to -48c after windchill at his place yesterday.

I know that feel bro. It's not even painful or anything, just like this unpleasant tightness in the affected areas. It's why I let my beard grow out, so my jaw wouldn't freeze up when I'm shoveling because it's annoying as fuck.

Natural disasters builds character.

oh look i moved out of the city in 2011 because the company got axed back to here somewhere and also to get back my cold winters that i enjoyed here
fairly enough the windy city managed to steal the damn weather all for themselves

WTF
TAKE ME THERE

Manitoba's getting absolutely fucked, luckily I'm in Ottawa, where it's been a pretty warm week so far around -18-20C. Early January was killer though.

My 93 year old grandma's power went out and might have died in this cold (like my Grandpa did when the cold gave him a heart attack while he was shoveling snow). While on my way to work I had a gut feeling and checked her house, turns out her power was out and it felt chilly, she was even asleep too. My grandma might have died in this cold and I feel sad that if it wasn't for me, she could very well be dead

It's really cold but you won't die if you wear proper clothes. Why are americans such pussies?

Who /upperpeninsula/ here? Muh Finnish heritage keeps my tits warm.

We have triple windows so that helps somewhat.

You did a good job user, grandmas worldwide need more grandsons like you
