The best part about Canada is the wilderness aspect to it. Within an hour driving west I can find myself an expanse of land with no souls as far as the eye can see.
Living in a region with higher population only makes you that much less significant to everyone else around you. And its actually more isolating and lonely than living in a smaller, more integrated community.

The majority of central Canada is composed of the Canadian Shield, the ground is jagged rock and non-arable soil, above that is tundra. 75% of the land can't support cities of any scale.
