>He doesn't have a College/University Degree
How do you get by in life?
He doesn't have a College/University Degree
I never even finished highschool lol
Im in uni. Second time
I do, and I'm going for a second one.
Degrees aren't worth shit unless it's something regulated like a doctor or lawyer
i don't know, i just wake up in the morning and see what the day brings
I studied a few degrees but never finished any, all in all it worked out good because I have knowledge from a lot of areas. you don't really need a paper as said
Nepotism. I'm a Jew after all.
I dont think id be at the math level i am if it werent for my uni studies.
They are useless, specially in this country.
Practically everything requires it tho. Even unregulated and "free" industries like software engineering put an extreme premium on people with CS degrees. Some top companies like Google basically refuses to hire you if you don't have a degree unless you have done something amazing(like start Jow Forums, see moot)
Are you a NEET?
What do you work as right now?
Oy vey!
Knowledge is one thing but the credentials is 90% of the reason to get a degree.
>you have done something amazing
You have to show something amazing regardless of your degree. Degree doesn't mean a shit alone.
Software design is the prime example of a field which doesn't require a formal education
>What do you work as right now?
I tutor middle school and high school kids, you can make good money out of it once parents start recommending you to each other.
True but i want to go into math research. A phd in math in only 3 years away from starting
>math research
I dont have one because I am about to get one in december in electrical engineering. Hopefully after that I will get into a PhD program
Yeah I wish I had one. Finally deciding to pursue one though, quit my job and applied for admission for this fall. I'm almost 23, so it's a little embarrassing being this late. On the bright side, my parents will be paying for it and I'll get to live alone for the first time.
nothing wrong with starting uni at 23, I know plenty of people who are doing second degrees, people who switched programs etc.
I actually feel far far worse after spending 4 and a half years on a shitty poli sci degree than if I had just started working immediately
I already make $240 a day from 3 hours work so yeah the memes arent fake
you can make your own software and sell it , why need google?
>any job I want
>300 K starting
i really thought it was a meme, and i still believe ur meming me, what exactly do you do?
what do you do?
what do you do
3 hours tutoring. I tutor year 11, 12 and 1st years. Im looking at positions in engine development (not just games) as well since im double majoring in cs
>He thinks its that easy
Besides, isn't it nice to be part of the upper elite that worked at Google?
it's not easy but you dont need a degree for it just how you dont need a degree to be a writer
Im not impressed anymore.
based, tutoring is a cool job, but I expected something cooler desu
The ratio of made it to didnt amount to much is pretty vast when comparing people with degrees to no degrees.
Also id like to see you tutor math1001, that unit is a braincheck as ever there was one.
Im independent, making my own money off of my own business and am set up for great future research positions
One day
ok big guy, but youre not going to be teaching 40 kids a week, making a 3 figure salary.
however I do have respect you for your ambition and wish you the best in ur busienss
I hvent finished my degree yet, yes the 300k is a part truth, i think its more akin to $120k starting when averaged , 4 year bachelor's and 2 years masters. Im doing a research project now.
