Does Jow Forums have an office job?

I'm a laid-off construction worker, NEETing on EI for the winter. I like physical outdoor work but don't think I want to do it when I'm older. Am learning IT stuff so hopefully I can get a help desk job.

>Ya because it occupies my time and I'm capable enough of feigning work to spend a good chunk of my day reading articles

Am I retarded?
All office jobs I had seemed like all you have to do is 30 mins of actual work and the rest of the day you just pretend to work and "look busy". It seemed that way to me. Are all office jobs like that?

>What?
Development team manager.
>like it?
Yes since I don't have to code anymore. Being a programmer is horrible imo.
>why?
Programming sucks ass. having your face glued to a fucking screen typing shit is horrible. I prefer my job: PowerPoints, replying to hundreds of emails, getting feedback from everyone everyday and rethinking my strategies, it's way more interesting than being a code monkey

>>What do you do?
IT ''''support'''''
>>Do you like it?
Not really
>>Whether yes or no, for what reasons?
I feel like I only do it because I don't know how to do anything else

Pajeet?

Noice, really nice

You're too old for IT, gramps.

Fun job with good pay.

Perfectly sums it up.
I've been in 3rd line support for over a year than got promoted as a coordinator/analyst in the same project.
I do help with programming and maintenance sometimes and I do make sure the documentation is updated but it's just a side thing. Never been happier.

To think that few years ago I would laugh at people whos "work" relies almost entirely on office suites.
I will take libreoffice and Evolution over any IDE any day.
And I get paid better so lmao

No also I'm the one of like two non Indians which is another reason I don't really like it

Maybe its just us not living in the first world
