looks like the buses from Munich.

Pic related is one of the main ones for my city, we only have buses here so we have like 5 or 6 different ones.

Comfy.

Pic related is the rail map for holland in 2016. Going from one side of the country to the other (Goes to Groningen) takes you 4 hours and 15 minutes.

most towns have busses.

The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Amsterdam and their surroundings have trams and metro systems. Heerlen, Groningen, Haarlem, Arnhem, Leiden and Nijmegen used to have trams but abandoned their tram systems.

There are also small ferries that are counted as public transport.

Attached: nOJwC4z.png (1654x2339, 328K)

We don't have BRT's here in SJC.

Everyone just drives cars.

Where i live it takes 3 and a half hours to move 100km by train.

And you only need to take 2 diferent trains

This I guess. We have county bus stops but no buses actually go to them

Attached: amtrak pacific surfliner.jpg (1140x760, 1.1M)

We only got buses in my city. In general the service is pretty good tho.
They are also building a BRT and there are plans for a metropolitan rail line but only god knows when the fuck will they start building it.

Why not

>and there are plans for a metropolitan rail line but only god knows when the fuck will they start building it.

the plight of my city.
i've heard about building a metro since the 80s lol

In Munich they have electric busses from Poland now.

I live in a village so there's buses that go from the town in our municipality to another city. In the smaller village I'll be moving to in the next year, there's only a few connecting buses that drive to two neighbouring villages a couple of times a day

Buses here
They are with heating, free wifi and free usb charging

Attached: DSC_0324-2-1200x804.jpg (1200x804, 180K)

We mainly use the train here

Attached: Chicago+Metra+Train.jpg (940x529, 155K)

We had soliaris in the past, but then they started catching fire, so we switched to scania buses

The most used here in my city.

Last time I was in Munich was in late 2013 and they used pic related back then from what I remember.

I never really used the buses in Munich tho, the subway system at least when I needed it was excellent to me and always on time besides being much cleaner than Berlin subways. The Trams in Munich were also good in my experience.

Attached: Münchener_Verkehrsgesellschaft_Wagen_5331_München_Ostbahnhof[1].jpg (3662x2009, 1.61M)

pic related were my favorite Trams in München, I don't know if they are used nowadays.
Really like the older design and color scheme. The new all blue ones weren't as nice IMO.

I like the black/gold ones that were used in Sweden a few years ago. Not sure if still in service.

Every city that uses trams here has their own colour scheme. Ours here in Norrköping have been yellow since 1904

Only buses. Mostly old shit, but some newer ones as well.

Attached: serveimage.jpg (3264x1836, 2.11M)

Cool. I've seen some older trams in Göteborg that look somewhat like the one you posted.

Tourism line shit for my city.
I can't believe people pay the overpriced charge just for a tour of the city on this piece of shit.

Attached: linha-turismo-onibus-panoramico-de-curitiba[1].jpg (800x1000, 116K)

That was the voted design by the people in Stockholm. They changed it to the standrard bernadotte blue colour later because they became too hot in the summers.

Yep, though the older trams usually only run special routes and serve as museum trams and not really for actual transport.

basically just light rail + buses (regular, articulated, and double decker)

Attached: edmonton_lrt_2400.jpg (2400x1600, 689K)

>pic related were my favorite Trams in München,

They are comfy but they will never be as cozy and typical Munich style as their old ones were.

We have so many public transport options
Bus, Nockebybanan, Saltjöbanan, Tvärbanan, Roslagsbanan, Metropolitan train, tram, subway and boat. I might have missed one.
The main one is the subway, though.

Surprisingly fast. They're the main form of transport I use for work to home and back, but the majority of people take disgusting buses or underground metro. Nobody rides the cable cars except tourists ($7.00 fare!)

Really?
Interesting. How hot is Stockholm in the Summer?

Munich in general has really good looking public transportation.

Attached: u-bahn_munchen_b[1].jpg (875x656, 116K)

We have buses, trams, 1(ONE) water tram and soon 2(TWO) lines of city rail. Kek.

Attached: tramwajolsz.jpg (2000x1333, 353K)

I agree, it's tidy and modern, but for the rolling stock (trams, metro and S-Bahn) I liked older models more than newer ones.

They used to run these in Stockholm but it got replaced with buses and only served as a museum type of ride until earlier this decade when they introduced it again with new wagons.

>How hot is Stockholm in the Summer?
Last summer it stayed around 30 Celsius for a good 3 months. Hottest summer so far but around 22-27 degrees is common.

We had around 30c last summer but it's usually below that number.

forgot pic

what does it look like?

I see.
I never expected it to reach 30C there.

pic old ones from Gothenburg
I think pic is from 1962

Howd the Edmonton transit? Vancouver got pretty decent, can go from suburbs to downtown reasonably

Attached: skytrain.jpg (804x585, 259K)

Yeah Gothenburg's main transport is still the tram.

My city got boats too

It stops in 3 places on different shores of the biggest lake in the city WHEN it's not frozen.

What's the route?

blame the germans
it's shit

Attached: U2-Wage_331_Gonzenheim.jpg (2048x1536, 1.36M)

It's comfy. Water trams are based.

Attached: kgeugeajzlgrmi5rwme2yw.jpg (2048x1360, 1010K)

Do people use this on a daily basis for commuting or is it more of a touristy thing?

it goes from downtown to a suburb thats across the water. pretty convenient if u ask me

Attached: 400px-Coast_Mountain_Bus_Company_SeaBus_map_(2017)-a.png (400x263, 54K)

We have the metro, path, long island railroad, nj transit, etc. But we also have a lot of ferries.

Attached: seastreak-4-04125__large.jpg (1200x800, 115K)

odd

theres something comfy about riding boats regularly

Both here, I know some people who use it since it's much faster to get from one side of the lake to the other. Tourists prefer bigger ships that cruise around the lake/lakes and stop at places where they can take photos.

Here in Stockholm they are used daily in the summer by people getting around.
Indeed. Especially when a little drunk on summer evenings.

it sucks when ur public transport sux

Attached: 648.png (412x351, 74K)

One is more of a touristy thing, but some people use it daily, especially the archipelago boat which people there depend on in the summer.

Attached: waxholm.jpg (755x913, 87K)

Trains/Subways are my favorite mode of transportation, they are the coziest and comfiest. I don't like planes that much, or buses.

Same, I was gonna visit old nana earlier this winter and I just didn't feel like going trough the whole airport thing + me being tall don't really make it the most pleasant experience.
I booked a ticket on the train instead. Best choice this year.

Attached: x2000.jpg (900x598, 390K)

Based, my favourite way of travel as well.

that's very cool. Good on you.
I imagine traveling by train through Sweden during winter is fairy-tale like.

Soon I'll be in Japan so I'll get to use the trains a lot too. I'll post my videos on youtube.

Europe as a whole is great for train traveling, it's the one thing I miss the most about it. I also sometimes stayed at train stations at night just seeing the flow of people coming and going, imagining where they were going...

Attached: 24046552333_93857bc499_b[1].jpg (1024x576, 134K)

Japp, nattågen är skönast. Gillar att arbeta på natten så passar mig bra. Reser ofta mellan Stockholm och Oslo.

>Soon I'll be in Japan so I'll get to use the trains a lot too. I'll post my videos on youtube.
Nice. I've always wanted to ride the shinkansen. Also link?
> I also sometimes stayed at train stations at night just seeing the flow of people coming and going, imagining where they were going...
Might sound weird but I sometimes hang out in the old town and just look at tourists. :^)
f1. Vad jobbar du med?

It's pretty nice indeed.

Är IT konsult.

>country
>ignoring on purpose one of the worlds biggest subway systems in the world because your little shithole of a city doesnt have one
it does its job well, but its always packed in peak times. not for no reason though, we cover a huge metropolitan area, the biggest in the southern hemisphere, with people coming from neighbouring cities everyday by train and bus, with an attendance of 4,5 million people (without counting train-only passengers) daily

sounds like some really bad planning.

i just noticed you meant to say city, i apologize op

but the SP metro isnt enough for covering the needs of this huge megalopolis, SPTRANS is the company that takes care of it. mainly the busses looks like this, theres also some older ones (2007-2011) but theyre the minority. Some of the newer ones have free wifi and usb sockets for charging your phone, though i would never use those for security reasons

Attached: corredor-onibus-sp.jpg (678x381, 43K)

the city has busses of all sorts of colors, based on their destination
heres a map with the relation of city zones and colors
>sounds like some really bad planning.
explain your reasoning

Attached: 800px-Areas_da_sp_trans.svg.png (800x566, 259K)

They're replacing all old metro trains on my line with this piece of junk
Design is somewhat ok but green lights inside and paintjob is retarded

Attached: msc700.jpg (700x450, 88K)

Har hög tolerans mot sådant, kommer nog fixa det.

After looking at your metro map, it seems as you could use some lines that go in between stations between the lines and or a completely new metro that have longer distances in between stops.
