This

But how do you say this in Egypt?

t. has been to Vienna
Sweetie, Austria is so much more than Vienna. My dialect is from one of the biggest cities in Austria, not exactly backwater. Just cause in Vienna they got rid of theirs lol

Kannst du mehr auf deinem dialekt sagen?

"Par doctor.....mai hi Pagliacci hoon"

Mas doutor... eu sou o pagliacci

Is this a mix of Italian and German?

Kann ich, was willst du dass ich sage?
(Ku i, wos willsch dass i sog?)

Nope. We have more italian loanwords due to our proximity, but it's still no mixture

What is the name of this dialect?

Tyrolean. But by we i mean Austrian dialects in general.

the average poster here is like 18. barely. what do you expect. they need new memes all the time.

Not pleasant pronunciation, but still a based dialect

might be a bit optimistic there

It does sound like Swiss, dutch or even arabic at times due to its harshness, but thank you brazilbro

So the Viennese literally speak hoch Deutsch?
Can you if you have to?

Yes, your dialect has what dutch people calls twisted tongue sound, impossible to me to reproduce. And your welcome Austrianlad

Fpbp

Yes they do speak literally Hochdeutsch (standard german) natively. To me it's kind of like a language i've learnt in school, a bit like english. I can speak it but my accent and certain words will still come through. At this point i'd say i can get to the point better in english than i can in standard german

This is the best forced meme we've had in a long time. It's at least harmless and fun.

you mean the guttural ch? like in schwizerdutsch?

...

Maar dokter... ik ben Paljas!

Agree. It is visually pleasant. Unlike the disgusting mutt meme.

Yes, we do that as well.
This (youtube.com/watch?v=xn9Y2xVQkwI) is a pretty good example

yea the sound you make when your bull sprays too much semen down your throat and you weren't expecting it

Fascinating. I will never be able to understand this. I read some interesting stuff about dialects. It seems like politicians, for example, can vary 'their 'dialect mode' and make it weaker or stronger depending on the situation and who they are talking to.

Cool music. I don't hear that guttural sound that much. Compare to this :D
youtube.com/watch?v=E3-UfPCubsE
How much do you understand?

det är jag som är pajazzo*

Politicians usually always speak standard german for some reason, even when talking to their native population, at least here. My dialect and standard german, i think, is somewhat relatable to norwegian and swedish. You don't understand eachother at first, but if you immerse yourself you'll have a pretty good understanding after a few weeks/months. From the perspective of germans at least, after all I learnt standard german at school.

All of it, but as far as I know that's Züridütsch (Zürich german) and they're quite a few steps above the other swiss german dialects in terms of guttural sounds.

based and redpilled
