Large parts of Iberia were settled by the Suebi during Roman times then afterwards the entire peninsula was conquered by the Visigoths. After Rome fell Italy was conquered by the Ostrogoths, then the Lombards, then the Franks and far later down the line the Austrians. Finland and the Baltic states both were settled by Swedes and Danes and the Baltic states were conquered by Germanic Teutons. Poland, Czechoslovakia and many other Central-Eastern European countries were handed back and forth between the Prussians and Austrians for large parts of history. Large swarths of Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia were conquered by the Kievan Rus who found their genesis in Swedish Vikings. Every country not mentioned and even most that were were conquered by Germany in WWII and German soldiers were notorious for leaving behind babies with native women, 400,000 in France alone. Every single European has some sort of Germanic ancestry, so why do you all act so divided?

Capet is a Frankish line and the Frankish clergy had even more influence than the nobility, I think, it wasn't just a small minority of Franks who ruled like some people claim here.
