The definition of rape. Not only is what is rape more loosely defined, the way rapes are registered is different too.
For example, let's say that a woman claims that she has been raped by her husband for every year in the past year. In some countries that would not be registered as rape because marital rape doesn't exist there. In some countries it wouldn't be registered as rape until the husband is found guilty in court. In some countries it would be noted as one rape. In Sweden, it's noted as 365 cases of rape.
You can understand this can inflate the number of rapes REALLY fast, even compared to other "diverse" countries like the UK or France.

Look at Ukraine for example. Rapes will skyrocket in Ukraine. Not because anything will factually change, but because the definition of rape has changed from "sex under duress" to "sex without consent". Now consider that consent is very nebulous as it can be given implicity, can be given silently and can be withdrawn in the middle of sex (also implicitly or silently). this means a woman can appear perfectly content during sex but still cry rape afterwards.
"Diversity" is a factor of course, but the biggest factor is how these countries define rape and how they register these rapes.
