In the 1997 film 'Event Horizon' , the original ships crew is found destroyed and mangled, with an audio recording transmitting out "Save yourself from hell" in latin ( "liberate tute me ex inferis" is the films attempt at this). Once Justin is dragged through the portal, upon his arrival and after he awakes from his coma, he proclaims "It gets inside you. It shows you things... horrible things...". But what did he see? In the extended cut you see quick flashing images of grotesque mutilations and maiming of all the cast members, but to me that seems too plain and simplistic a portrayal of what this "dimension of pure chaos" would be. I think the TLC show "I Am Jazz" is a better portrayal of the kind of things Justin would have seen. With the show, we see a jewish family smiling and celebrating the corruption, deception and ultimately the destruction of their own child. This process of destruction starting as early as 5 years old, the planning of which even starting years before that. What the shows ultimate desire is , as stated, is to promote this destruction of human nature and the natural human existence. The dismantling of God's creation on earth. They are the embodiment of a pilot fish for the oncoming shark that is the ever rolling tide of this "dimension of pure chaos". We have abandoned God, and so with that we have accepted hell.
The only good movie from that shitty director but that's because everything he makes is terrible
Aaron Kelly
I love that film. This "dimension" was in fact another universe. The crew of the "Event Horizon" simply went full speed into another universe with completely different laws of nature and such. Wormholes are truly fascinating if you think about the possibilities we could have with such a technology.
Samuel Morgan
wormhole isn't a thing though
Gabriel Wood
worm holes are a possible thing but we think they would collapse as soon as any information went through them, including light
Dominic Robinson
I do know that it's technically not a "thing" and technically you aren't "traversing space". It's fcked up to say at least
We also do in fact need "exotic matter" which is matter with a negative energy density to keep such a wormhole stable. Some say that vacuum energy is exotic matter but we don't know anything 2bh
Lincoln Nelson
well there is no evidence to believe that wormhole would lead anywhere, much less another universe
Jason Wright
It#s mostly based on theories and thought experiments you are right, but it hink that such a wormhole will be our only possibilty to achieve speeds which are faster than light. Just let me dream, bro
Alexander Clark
it's not the only theory, as wormhole generation requires physics that are logically impossible with our understanding
other theories more relevant to current theory in physics can achieve these goals as well, such as branes and so on
this is why science fiction can have negative consequences as it primes your brain to think about impossible-possible in only certain ways
Wormholes aren't in conflict with our current understanding of our universe. We just don't know if they actually exist and they probably wouldn't work like scifi wormholes
they are as wormholes are physically unstable. if they do exist they cannot sustain it's a lot like that mini-fusion sun in one of the spiderman movies, it seems probable but traditional physics imply that such small ball with enough energy to fuse would have enough disturbance in the gravity to turn everything around it into mush and so on maybe there are other caveats to make wormhole generation a thing but requisite power imply that future technology must be on the level of magic, because it is directed energy with enough power to tear open a precise point in space and leads to another precise point in space, why not just imagine space/teleportation gates, it's less magical
>they are [in conflict with our current understanding of our universe] >if they do exist they cannot sustain Pick one. Just because they are unstable doesn't mean they don't exist.

I couldn't even imagine that such discussions on Jow Forums are even remotly possible
Aaron King
Jow Forums has the most Ph.D.'s of any board on Jow Forums
Jason Edwards
Really? It doesn't seem like such judging by those threads around here which are mostly about genociding the very other

You need to learn how to see through the shitposts

>Liberate tute me ex inferis. Set me free from all of this evils below [that are torturing me]. Latin is not for beginners.
