Same story here. I'm 32 and still on here. The only benefit to getting old is that now I have legit excuses not to have any friends as even normies stop making friends at this age. Unfortunately I have no excuses for my other failures in life.

it dont matter anymore, no one ever leaves

Started in my teens as well (13) but I'm only 19 now.

>stop making friends
because they already have them you absolute tard

Nope, I know people and everyone starts drifting away from and losing friends, in addition to not making new ones. Relationships/children start to take up everyone's time.

same

not my experience
people keep their few friends, they are actually close with and see on a regular basis
obviously not as many as in uni, but the people, you would actually get to see without going out of your pace

God all the years and countless hours wasted.

Jow Forums is not that bad, as long as you don't browse the soul-rotting boards.

>soul-rotting boards
Such as?

What was Jow Forums like when you started browsing? What has changed?

Am in my 30s by long. Started posting this summer.

*last summer in 2018
Nevermind.

For me, it's the Jow Forums, Jow Forums, /gif/, and the porn boards et. al.

/b/
Jow Forums
Jow Forums
/v/

same age but I started when I was 13

There are much older people on Jow Forums, like in their 40s. On Jow Forums there are even some Vietnam vets and Jow Forums is a known boomer hangout.

I juat started browsing 2 days ago and I can feel my IQ rising exponentionally every single day from exchanged culture by vast of different countries

Pic related, thats drawing of myself

Attached: meirl.jpg (750x1000, 167K)

Way more normies now.

I also remember quite a few AMAs with really old people on /b/. One especially was bretty cool and gave genuinely helpful advice.

There were lots of roodypoos and candyassgots

23 and started browsing again a year ago, before that i completely left this site around 2016, and cut social media all together to get my life in order. Got in shape and went back to education, it was the happiest i ever was

Unfortunately i relapsed shortly after and have been downhill since. I have started working out again and i'm looking to start all over, which means i will probably be leaving this site again

Hoping to get my shit together by the time i hit 24, by then i will qualify as a mature student and can head straight into an undergraduate course

I'll be a few years behind everyone else, but fuck it, can't be a NEET all my life

I started to post on Jow Forums when I was 13, now I'm 25.

It was full of epic wins and cheese pizza.

Attached: 920.jpg (400x538, 40K)

The shit to funny ratio was a lot better. Menes also lasted days or weeks instead of hours

I started in 2008. More gore on /b/, less political, no Twitter dramas, Hiroshima was a jew.

Attached: 325324653_0.jpg (373x281, 50K)

I'm only here since 2015
Not so much time wasted

Same here. Except I'm a highly successful Eastern European and I make four figures per year.

I'm 28. So we're really here 4ever?

>Ylyl banana instead of spiderman
>kek is a frog god now
>A lot of oldfags went to cripplechan after gamergate
>a lot of normies since 2016 elections

I remember how a lot of oldfags went to 7chan back in the time, my fellow Swiss

>type a reply
>realize it's probably some 18 year old on the other end
>delete and close tab

Jow Forums is a soul-rotting board, not as much as Jow Forums, but still does considerale damage

And you still make shitty off-topic threads.

he is a burger, people move 300km to start a new job or for "good (white/asian) schools" all the time.
same goes for Australia to a lesser extent. Hungary? much less likely, even with the EU there are still much bigger barriers to moving.

t. late 20s failure who moved to "teh big city" after school and lost contact with all his childhood friends except a few who became perma-NEETs who keep in touch because they have nothing else to do.

tfw already 9 years on Jow Forums

Attached: 1551168381807.png (399x320, 119K)

yeah this place used to have a far higher proportion of completely batshit and unstable people, rather than just fake NEETS aka failed normies.

the whole site was also a *lot* less political in general

13 years for me

Attached: 1167942381018.png (548x634, 315K)

if I could change one thing about Jow Forums I'd probably just delete Jow Forums

Been here for half my life now, 14 to 28. It shows, but I wouldn't trade this for anything. Thanks.

Attached: 1266845060915.jpg (756x564, 117K)

Yeah, I miss the days before absolutely everything was political, you can't really escape it now. And there were some genuine "characters" in the past, not so much now.

>tfw 32 and here since 13 years

Attached: 1314741792499.jpg (378x504, 30K)

Whitemoot tried that, it failed.

Jow Forumstard rapefugees would just flood the rest of the site then
Just create a new website for them

Japmoot tried that, it failed.

>4 figures per year
>highly successful

>first started browsing at 13
>now 26
Officially spent 50% of my life in this cesspool. I can never go back to society.

>tfw came onto Jow Forums to learn about politics to impress politically inclined new gf back in 2011
>first board was Jow Forums

Attached: Caribbean Treasure Chest.png (685x679, 786K)

You can buy many goats for that kind of money

>started 2009 when i was 17
>now 27
No amount of friends, normie activities, gfs or good jobs are going to release me of this hellhole.
I never left, even when i literally had no time.

this

I'm 35. startet browsing 10 years ago

>What was Jow Forums like when you started browsing?
desudesudesu
>What has changed?
"I hate anime", average poster now

There are so many poor quality threads now, I maybe post in 2 or 3 threads a day across multiple boards.

I mostly just lurk now because of this.

>the whole site was also a *lot* less political in general
To be fair, the whole internet and world was a lot less political back then. A lot of the political stuff here is backlash against all the social and identity politics that is being pushed everywhere else. And I can understand the backlash, I watch movies and play games for escapism, I don't want real world issues shoved into them.

>tfw 2016 tourist

I wish I could experience pre-2010 Jow Forums desu

Attached: 1551255534449.png (683x654, 30K)

Arrived here late 2007
Libertarianism -> conservatism
The invasion of failed normalfags, then regular normalfags
People using threads more like chatrooms

started at 15, now 27 so I'm an eternal newfag
the website has declined a lot but the it's bearable as long as you don't go on Jow Forums, /b/, Jow Forums and other boards that will destroy your sanity

Jow Forums destroyed my sanity

i'm also in my 30's but started in my late 20's

This. Outside of the generals this board looks like a mixture of Jow Forums and Jow Forums

I forgot to add /lgbt/ too

>What was Jow Forums like when you started browsing?
Post quality going down the drain, content turning completely stale (how many years have we been posting the fucking frog and wojak now?) and politicization are obvious, so I'll go with something that doesn't get mentioned that often.
Jow Forums used to be a lot friendlier. It might sound silly with all the reputation of HACKERS ON STEROIDS and raids and everyone calling each other faggots 24/7, but there was very little genuine malice and anger towards each other here. Insults were generic terms of address, they didn't carry any real meaning beyond "I disagree with you, the show you like is bad". Nowadays people fling shit at each other at the slightest provocation and you can tell they're genuinely furious or intentionally aiming to insult and upset someone. It reads like something straight from a Youtube comment flamewar.

it shows internet users nowadays are quite young and can't apprehend the meaningful of internet, it became shit with social medias and constant low effort bait malice.
