Have you ever worked in a factory or an industrial facility, Jow Forums? How was it?

Yeah I worked in a packaging factory with a bunch of Chinese workers. Almost made me learned the language just so that I can actually have a proper chat with them and such. But instead I left for better pastures.
Worked at a UPS hub for 2 years.
Loud, filthy, and made me hate labor unions (they really are whiny, lazy manchildren).
>UPS hub
Not a factory or industrial facility.
t. has worked at one
I work at a garage.
But i did visited a Gas producig facility years ago, shit is so big that it's a city inside the city.
At night is even crazier.
No, but I would like to. Sounds way better than the other shit entry level jobs.
I worked in a factory where we recycled tvs and computers, everyone was nice to each other there, now I work in an office and everyone is a unhappy piece of shit that would stab each other for money.
My first job was to engineer electronic components for trains. Best job I ever had, I'm still proud when I see one of the machines we built.
I work at a sawmill. Cozy job with a good pay. It's basically just observing the process remotely most of the time.
Factory and industrial jobs aren't dirty or physically intensive work these days.
>I worked in a factory where we recycled tvs and computers
You know you could have made money selling them to /vr/fags.
Ive worked in good factories/warehouses before. One time though i got a job at a meat processing plant and it was disgusting slave labor. All of the workers were illegal mexican moms and grandmas who were basically forced to work their and the higher ups took advantage of that and didnt treat them as human beings. The only job i ever walked out on on the first day. Almost punched the supervisor because he was such an asshole.
Same thing always
every God damn day
I'm servicing their machines troughout the EU. The pay is well above average (3000 € base+ company pay my stay for upto 2000 € a month, free use of company car for unlimited mileage, payed stay at home in December)
If I had to stay in one of the factories, I would not do it. The workers seem to be depressed and exhausted all the time.
i work in a warehouse
it's fun but all the machines start to get to you, the ambient noise will creep up and start to overwhelm you if you're not careful
24 hours a day 7 days a week production can not stop.
And crazy when you work at night looks like a city.
I work at a refinery
Ive been working in a factory for about 5 years now. It's ok.
Work as a welder in a factory, its a job.
yes and it sucked
Currently working, here's my pants and shoes.
Yeah with a lot of soldering and pipe assembly along with other stuff. It was quite nice and I had good coworkers, certainly one of the better jobs I have had and industrial work doesn't deserve half the smack it gets imo. But people also seem to be deathly afraid of getting dirt under their nails and be a worker and nothing short of office work where you don't actually work is acceptable.
worked in a aluminium production plant once. first week was hell bc it was up to 80* C inside but i got used to it and then it was a chill job. drove a crane lifting anodes in and out of the electrolyze ovens half the day, then i swapped with the guy on the floor. a cool job, but also scary in that you could die in so many cruel ways if you fucked up.
Friend of mine had to put the correct hour on clocks in a factory. He told me that there were people that did that job for 10+years. Imagine looking at the time for 10 years
Yes, I do now.
Ethanol factory.
It sucks. It's extremely hot (around 65-70 celsius) around the machines and the smell is like satans asshole.
The sound level means you have to wear double ear protection at all time, you won't hear a gunshot inside.
The pay is amazing but it's slowly killing me.
is it hard to get a job like that? i know a bit norwegian
I never worked
It's all I've done. It's ok but I hate the larger factories since they're so fucking strict about safety regs / work permits and shit, and the phone won't stop ringing.
Smaller places are much nicer, you can do things your way and people know your name. I guess that applies to al types of work though.
I'm mildly autistic though and feel crowded pretty easily.
locomotive depot, but i mostly did the dirty job because i'm noob
> iore
delet, this is a blue board
