Well, Mexico was one of the most profitable colonies of the Spanish Empire, so it's a given that a lot of Spanish migrated there. A lot of them are casted in Mexican telenovelas more often for obvious reasons (or at least I have heard from some Mexicans that they have a problem of overcasting whites, I'm not sure myself).
