She is helping me with it. She understands and knows how my life was and enviroment growing up. She really doesnt see it as a flaw in me, but really wants to help me get over it. I kept it a secret from her for quite a while but things started getting serious between us and love bloomed, so i told her one night just so she knew the score and could out before it was too late. She cried a bit, but i was shocked at how her attitude to the whole thing was, didnt shame me or judge me, just promised me she'll be there no matter what and been a great support. Ive gotten clean/relapsed too many times over the years, and her patience with me seems endless. She smokes weed and drinks alcohol about once a month, far more sober than most people it seems

It can be hard to start being a funny, more unserious person with people who have know you for years. For some reason people find change in someone a red flag or disturbing somehow, even when it is a positive change. When you meet new people try to start out with them as a sillier person for practice. And once that feels natural for you, you can spread it to your unforced personality and probably come off alot more charming and fun loving person which 100% of the time is attractive to other people.

You dont have to be a jester, but it is an actual thing people who love humor and want to be a funny person are stonewalled by a serious, introverted personality when socializing. When i was a bit younger id come up with tons of funny jokes and comments but didnt know how to get it out or express it. I did find a couple friends who shared the same sense of humor as me and spending time with the laughing our asses of helped me become a more socialible guy in general. And gfs need someone who can make them laugh, it is more imoortant than you think
