Why don't Japanese people dress like this anymore? It's a much more interesting style than modern western-style clothing.

found out a few days ago they shaved their heads like that to prevent sweat collecting in their helmets
It's all your country's fault.
They still dress in traditional style a lot
some girls at graduation ceremonies wear a hakama for example
living in Kyoto, you can see girls walking around in kimono all the time
They can't be washed every day and we hate stinky
also incoming korean/japanese flamewar
>tfw no qt jap gf
>ywn find love in Japan
just become english teacher or go to uni (english) here
especially the finn poster can do very well with blonde hair
what are my options for becoming a teacher? is JET the only way in? they seem kind of hard to get in
>ran
patrician taste.
It's funny because when Asians keep their culture, Whites mock them. But when they adopt Western ways they called them westernized cucks.
I feel bad for them. there's just no winning
((its too expensive, because they are not mass products))
you can mass produce kimonos just as any other apparel if the demand is there
You basically have 3 options:
1.) JET: best salary and benefits but the application process is shit and they’ll put you in the middle of bumfuck nowhere.
2.) Dispatch company ALT: lowest pay of all options but you can get in much easier and probably get a better location. Your work hours are also pretty low and the company will manage a lot of things for you at the school depending on your language level. This can be a good and bad thing.
3.) Eikaiwa - english conversation school. You’ll be teaching in an class from 12 or 1 to 9 most likely. Students have to pay to come after school so they’ll likely be very focused and class sizes will be small. Less pay than JET but more than a dispatch company.
The best option would to become a direct hire ALT. You can potentially get the same pay or more than a JET and be able to choose your location somewhat; in addition to having much better benefits, pay, and more freedom than with a dispatch company. Direct hires also have the best job/visa security and can get the same pay during August (school holiday, you will get paid like nothing from a dispatch company during this time).
The only thing about a Direct hire ALT is that you need to be in Japan before applying, and probably have some English teaching experience. You also have to apply directly to Board of Education website postings which will be in japanese.
Good luck user, you can also try entering a English-language uni here if you’re of that age.
((we are too picky and autistic to do that.))
why are you using (((parentheses))) to post?
are you aware of the connotations they bear on Jow Forums?
Japanese hipsters wear modernized Kimonos though
looks like arab fashion
absolutely appalling
im nearing the end of my collegiate career so ill be having to look for a hire option
How would you recommend getting into japan for the ALT process? You think I could either do a year of JET then switch to ALT, or maybe even something easier like one of those workaway programs and just work in a hostel for a few months til I find an ALT job?
>are you aware of the connotations they bear on Jow Forums?
Nope. what kind of connotation does it have?
Anyway ((parentheses are my recent boom))
I've always wondered this, why do modern Chinese for example dress like extremely rich westerners obsessed with western designer brands, instead of traditional chinese clothing styles or even Revolutionary era chinese style clothing?
China is a powerful country and huge market, it doesn't need to dress like the west to be taken seriously but it does anyway. Same with Japan or wherever.
What makes it even more bizarre is somehow the Gulf Arabic world was able to just stay with their own clothing styles. They wear their robes and fancy outfits and you rarely if ever see them in western style clothing despite they almost exclusively deal with the west. It's bizarre.
I don’t know about the hostel stuff, as long as you have a college degree you can apply for JET or dispatch ALT companies or an Eikaiwa.
If I was in your position I would apply to JET and a dispatch ALT company and just see what you get. From there you can try to go into a direct hire ALT position or just stay with what you got.
After awhile once you find a Japanese GF (assuming you’re not autistic) you can eventually stay here on a marriage visa and/or get a different job once you get your Japanese skills high enough.
You really do wanna avoid the bumfuck areas if you can though, rural Japan can get rural as fuck.
they are used to denote involvement of (((god-chosen people)))

china, despite being one of the west's competitors, absolutely still love western culture
big companies will often hire out white guys just for the status symbol, western fashion comes with that prestige as well
traditional clothes are generally reserved for traditional affairs
only EAST asians do this though. Southeast and South Asian politicians still often wear traditional clothes.
East Asia has a high conformity Confucian culture which means when they westernized, they westernized hard.
Gotcha, my only worry is that I won't be able to sneak through the application process, which i know I shouldn't be because I have a ton of work experience as well as experience with kids as 3 years as a camp counselor which I could probably spin somehow as educational.
Guess I just got nerves about the whole situation, been a dream of mine to at least live a year abroad working, don't want my dreams crushed though, you know? anyways thanks for the help
Do you like feudal Japan?
You at the least can get a dispatch company job guarenteed. There’s literally no requirements other than a university degree and knowing English, and you’ll probably be in a decent area. You’ll only work from like 9 to 3 too.
You should have no nerves about the situation at all, just go for it
((I didnt know that, but mine is double not triple), so seems legit)
awesome, thanks for calming my nerves man. Maybe I'll catch you over there in a year or two
no problem, throw out your e-mail if you wanna meet-up, I’m always down to see other anons here
probably not for a while, but keep an eye out for on the japanese threads on Jow Forums, ill definitely be hitting those up more the closer i get
I normally just shitpost japanese broads here, typically not in the japanese generals but yeah
