If i won the the lottery i'd learn languages full time. I'd spend a year or two in-country with a prostitute/teacher using sex as positive reinforcement when i do well and withholding it when i do bad. After i reach a fluent level, i'd move to a new country and buy a new prostitute/teacher and learn a new language. That's my lang dream.
if that's what it takes for you to learn a lang i feel bad for you son, however good idea , i might use it (not millionaire but well off)

Did you know that Vikings didn't wear metal armor? They just wore normal cotton clothes to battle. Only rich people or officers got to wear chainmail

I also teach you about the Viking equivalent of chess, hnefatafl. That's "king's table" to you non-Vikings
> Spillet av hnefatafl handler om en vikingkonge som blir angrepet i borgen sin. Kongen må romme til en av fire hjornerutene, for motstanderne får tak i ham. The game of henfatafl is about a Viking king who is attacked in his castle. The king must escape to one of four corner pits before the opponents get hold of him.
> Hnefatafls brett har 9x9 ruter. Det har totalt åttien ruter. Det er åtte hvite brikker, seksten sorte brikker, og en kongebrikke. Hnefatafl's board has 9x9 squares. It has a total of eighty-one squares. There are eight white pieces, sixteen black pieces, and one king's piece.

if you can become fluent in Norwegian you would be able to understand Soydish and danish no problem. so in realuty choosing norwegian is the best dialect to choose from, from the 3
I heard Scandinavians like to go hiking. It's probably due to their Viking genes, because Vikings liked to explore

Dutch is really close to German / English languages, I haven't ever looked into it but when I tried I saw lots of familiariteis it's mind boggling.
Swedish is somewhat different but still it's quite close to German. If I learn Swedish I'll be able to talk with most of the finns and also mock norwegs by telling stupid jokes.
Q: Why did the Norwegian take a ladder with him to the supermarket? A: Because he'd heard the food prices in Oslo were extremely high.
Q: Why did the Norwegian crawl on the floor through the supermarket? A: Because they’re looking for the low prices.
Q: Why do Norwegian garbage trucks drive so fast? A: The drivers are scared of getting robbed.
Q: Why did the Norwegian bring a rolled-up piece of sandpaper to the desert? A: Thought it was a map.
Q: How do you sink a Norwegian submarine? A: Scuba-dive down and knock on the door.
Q: How do you sink a Norwegian submarine again? A: Dive down and knock on the door again. Wait for them to open the window and say, "You aren't fooling us this time!"
Q: How do you sink a Danish submarine? A: Dive down and knock on the window. Wait for them to open the door and say, "Come on, who do you take us for? Norwegians?"
Q: How do you sink a Swedish submarine? A: Give it a Norwegian crew.
I definitely need a list of similar jokes but in Swedish.

You need about an hour for that.

Has anyone here tried learning a language with an Arabic/Persian script? Did it take you long to adjust to the right to left reading and the lack of short vowels being written?

Easy: > They don't know where you are. De veta inte var du är > I like to play the piano. Jag gillar att leka piano > She is from Poland. Hon är från polen > What do you think about me? Vad tror du om mig? > The bear is big and fluffy. Björnen är stor och fluffig Not sure about the question there.
>Jag gillar att leka piano spela* They both mean the verb play, but different kinds of play. Spela means play as in playing an instrument, a music track, a movie, a board/video game, etc, whereas leka means play as in a physical game like the ones children play and similar. Leka also used for playing in some abstract concepts, like "don't play with my feelings". Hard to explain, I'm sure a textbook might do it better. :^)
>Hon är från polen Polen* Country names are capitalized.
>Vad tror du om mig? I'd say "Vad tycker du om mig?". Your sentence comes off as if someone has taken offense and exclaims "What do you think/believe of me?" in the same vein as "Who do you think I am?" or "Who do you take me for?".
my wife chino... I WANT TO FUCK CHINO please chino is so cute my wife chino is so cute chino chan sex chino sex with chino i'd like some more kafuu chino sex with chino kafuu chino my wife cute is so chino wife
Connor Thompson
It's not about seriousness but rather about colloquial use. Asking someone what they think about something can very well be asked as "Vad tror du?", as well as "Vad tycker du?" but there is a distinction.
Try thinking of tro and tycka as 'believe' and 'have an opinion about/care for' and then let that color the meaning of 'think' in such an expression. Maybe that helps idk.
