Probably one of the greatest countries in the world, but the country far from it's founding ideals that the founding fathers thought were important.

The people are split instead of unified. The founding fathers risked death to fight against marginal sub-5% tax on stuff like stamps and tea because Americans were not allowed representation by the government. Sadly Americans today do not feel represented by government while paying a ton of taxes: federal, state, city, auto, health, SSI, gas, sales tax, and an assortment of fees for bureaucratic bs.
