Do you vote?

Do you vote?

No
A brainlet who believes "I can change this society" does it

I'm forced to vote, but now than I'm living in Japan I don't have to vote.

I wasn't 18 yet when the last election took place but I will vote when I can

Sure, the polling station is like 5 minutes walk from my house

Yes and I voted on the previous one 4 years ago when I was 18

Every election. Even off years when the only thing up for vote is library board seats.
Straight ticket dem in midterm/generals.

Yes. Even if my vote balances out only a single leftist vote it's still worth it.

Absolutely not, because I'm not a selfish/delusional cunt.

I voted for the first time last cycle. I didn't vote 2016 for the presidential though. Was my first time voting, i never even checked to see if anything i voted on passed.

I have to, i can't choose.

only if there's an extreme retard on the ballot like Zlompf or that hispanic bitch that's always in the headlines now for some reason

Yeah, but I only vote seriously at the municipal level. In the last federal election I cast a protest vote for the Green party, and in this years fed election I will be voting for the People's Party of Canada.

In the last provincial election I drew a swastika across my ballot.

nope

why should i vote politicians that will steal my money? If they gave me 50 € I would consider

This. Voting for free is the most retarded thing. Politicans are all liars and one vote does not matter even a little.

Americans get a cool sticker when we vote.

No, there is no party worth wasting 30min of my life.

Daily reminder.

Attached: demokrati.jpg (350x407, 14K)

yes
mostly small parties because big parties are jews

Yes
It takes like 3 minutes and it is every citizens right and obligation to participate in their democratic election

Damn, imagine if politicians started bribing people with free hamburgers
they'd be elected in no time

I have never voted. Democracy has never existed in the USA. Democracy in Canada is a farce. I don't care about politics. It's all fucking pointless in the end.

>direct democracy
>less than 40% turnout

hmmmmmmm

NEED mandatory voting like they have in Australia

If you don’t vote, you have no right to comment on politics.

Neck yourself.

We have the right to denounce it as idiocy, which it is.

If you vote then you have no right to comment on politics. Because you already cast your vote.

yes, I can't afford the 10 USD fine

>denounce
Which does absolutely nothing. People who vote have the right to voice their opinion because they already walked the walk. You did nothing but complain, which is meaningless.

shut up retarded cuck

this

If I don't vote, then I don't get my vote buying money.
I get the money so I vote for a candidate, and I don't vote them anyway

Not true. Opinions build character, as does maintaining principles. Life is much more fun as a person and not a malleable slime or tool.

>If you don’t vote, you have no right to comment on politics.

I pay tax every single fucking year so I can say anything to budged swindlers.
Why are Ameritards so stupid?

How, building character. I’m sure that has a major impact on your country and the world at large.

*Wow

no, democracy and voting is fraud

Used to. Will not in the future. No point

>If you don’t vote, you have no right to comment on politics.
I vote but I've never understood this claim. If there's no one you'd be willing to give your vote for there is absolutely no reason you couldn't comment on the dismal state of politics. Like I understand people who given a choice between Hillary and Trump choose neither. They still have a right to call Trump's idiocy out.

Then get involved with politics yourself. Complaining about a system you don’t even try to fix is pathetic.

In fairness, it means about as much as casting your vote for an unpopular candidate or party in an electoral riding you know will overwhelming vote for a different one. If you vote against the popular choice (and your vote thus means nothing to the electoral college), you are merely exercising a principle and "building character" as well.

explain please

doesn't belgium have mandatory voting

Attached: 1552515212009.jpg (657x527, 50K)

>switzerland
explain?

Right, but that’s because America is not a true democracy. So when other spoiled firsties say shit like “my vote doesn’t matter” when they live in a system that allows for maximum possible voter impact it’s cringy as fuck. Probably Jow Forumstards that are upset their meme candidates don’t get on the ballot.

For some reason, I imagine that JUST MAYBE things can get better if I do, but they never do.

Pretty much all parliamentary democracies which derive from the British model have the same, or similar, problems.

Your vote doesn't matter because all politicians are only working for themselves

i don't anymore, it's useless

No, if i had to vote id probably just write in a vote for some meme like michael jackson

Vote buying is rampant here. Every election the politicians give you money for you to vote for them.
The start a rally in the town plaza, and many people go there, at the end they give you an envelope as "thanks" for your support in the coming election.
Envelope contains money of course. Probably taxpayer money (aka corruption)
You write your name in a list and would try to check if you "voted" for them.

The amount they give depends on the conpetition, but its around 20 to 50 bucks per voter.

Now, they could never really know if you voted for them, you can easily lie and say you did even if you listed your name in their list.
I usually just lie about it so I get money plus I don't vote for the fucker.

This. Monarchy is the only way.

If there's a good candidate, I would. But if not, I'd rather do something else.

t. buttmad alt-right manbabies

>Yes It takes like 3 minutes and it is every citizens right and obligation to participate in their democratic election

Do people here really think this way or is it bait?

>If you don’t vote, you have no right to comment on politics.
If you do vote, you're a citizen for a day and a subject for 4 years. Go ahead and comment on politics as much as you please, it changes nothing.

Attached: rousseau.shutterstock_231175594[1].jpg (2372x3000, 681K)

You are fucking retarded. You might not agree with the choices or you might not even agree with democracy. Furthermore politics affect almost every aspect of citizens' lifes, therefore everyone has a right to complain about it, even if they do not participate in politics actively or passively.

it does take 3 minutes
yes

The only party here that has soul is the green party but they oppose nuclear power generation which is a yikes from me because we don't have a cleaner and more cost effective alternative yet. NDP gets my vote.

>or you might not even agree with democracy
Then don’t live in a democratic country. Move. Go to Swaziland or some shit and stop shitting up the developed world.

>every citizens right and obligation
It is a right for everyone above 18, but not obligation you dumb SDS voter.

No, didn't vote in municipal electinos nor in provincial ones. I do vote for our parliament elections.

Provincial elections are senate elections in disguise.

I do believe in democracy myself, I've just listed an example you moron. And it's not democratic to call for expulsion of someone just cuz they do not share the same political view as the current establishment in their country/western world

I don't care about our senate.

No I don't, because I have the choice between socialist A and socialist B. I am Libertarian.

>And it's not democratic to call for expulsion of someone
Explain in detail how it isn't democratic. I guess the Trail of Tears suddenly means America isn't a democracy, or France kicking out the émigrés means they weren't a democracy either.

But you do care about the lower house? When both houses are needed to pass a law? Odd.

>I am Libertarian.
Then you'd better start opposing female suffrage.

It’s not expulsion. If you’re going to do nothing but complain about things that no sane person would agree with then do yourself and everyone else a favor and fucking leave.

It’s like the retarded volga german on here that does nothing but shitpost about how the west is evil and russia is stronk despite never getting up and moving there to see for himself.

why don't you start a libertarian party

Not him, but in the US the ideology of libertarianism (and free market attitudes in general) is MUCH more prominent than in post-WW2 France. Yet despite this the American Libertarian party has NEVER managed to get a significant number of seats in either house of Congress and NEVER managed to even present a viable presidential candidate. It's a joke party that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Now imagine France, a country far more addicted to the teet of the welfare state than America. He'd be lucky if he could get even a single seat in the Assemblée and even if he got it then he'd almost certainly lose it in the next elections. The American Left is about as right as the French Right.

>The American Left is about as right as the French Right
lol no

Lol yes. Obamacare is effectively the Dutch healthcare system, which is a lot more free market than France's hybrid-esque system. It's only recently that the American left went full retard with the Democratic Socialists, who would roughly be on par with the now borderline defunct Parti Socialiste.

I've never voted in my life.

not my point kanekrmongool
he feels his ideology is not represented in the elections

wow rude

Obamacare was a shitty compromise hated by both parties, so not a good example. The modern Democratic party is at least as leftist as most mainstream European leftist parties, but the Republican party is probably quite a bit to the right.

yes but its pointless

>Do you vote?
Every time there is an election.
I consider it to be my duty as a citizen of a democracy.

It is pointless to vote.

If the systems in place were more effective at making it in the politicians' best interests to work for the good of their constituents, this wouldn't matter.
