When talking about women priveleges, Russian women are very patriarchal, but when it comes to women duties (which are common for truly patriarchal society), they quickly turn feminists.
For example, pic related shows percentage of management positions occupied by women in different countries. Russia is on the top here, so “brutal patriarchy in Russia” is actually a meme.
At the same time the retirement age in Russia is 60 for men, and only 55 for women, which is definitely a patriarchal “conservative” law, granting some privileges for women.
