Thanks Germany...

Thanks Germany. I always wanted a grocery store that charged me money to rent a shopping cart and made me bag my own groceries or pay $7

don't forget to tip the cart or you will be shot

lol is this true?

What in America you don't have to pay for the cart?
Also pack your own stuff.

>that charged me money to rent a shopping cart
You put a coin in it and get it back after you are finished. It's to prevent people from stealing them. It's normal. Don't you have that in the US?

>made me bag my own groceries
What do you mean? Are you too lazy and too fat to bag your groceries? Don't Americans bag their groceries themself?

>or pay $7
What?

Aldi is actually a pretty terrible store, a lot of their meat is spoiled and their vegetables are contaminated with various viruses

No, but I got fined for loading my cart onto the cashier's conveyor belt too slowly. American employees still expect tips too. They even went ahead and used an American automatic door out front to serve as a toll gate to enter the store.

Redpill me on Lidl, is it just a shittier Aldi? Lidl is trying to make inroads here but I feel like they just fill the same niche.

No you just go and grab one. Who the hell steals shopping carts?

Do Euros do this?

I've never seen a shopping card that required a coin.

>Who the hell steals shopping carts?
hobos

>You put a coin in it and get it back after you are finished. It's to prevent people from stealing them. It's normal. Don't you have that in the US?
No
>What do you mean? Are you too lazy and too fat to bag your groceries? Don't Americans bag their groceries themself?
I do but we have baggers

Expanding euro brands to america doesn't fucking work.
Not with german, french, english or russian brands, because they really don't care about providing quality goods to overseas customers. Kind of like McDonalds is really shit tier tasteless garbage here

plenty of carts get stolen or thrashed to shit because the average lower class American is a careless faggot

Lidl is the same as Aldi. The only difference is that Lidl pretends to be "more premium" by adding some brands in their sortiment while Aldi mainly only sells no brands and only their own.

> It's to prevent people from stealing them. It's normal. Don't you have that in the US?
No because we don't steal grocery carts.

>Who the hell steals shopping carts?
Black people. I went to a Target in DC and the wheels locked up when I tried to take it out of the store

but it's working

>Kind of like McDonalds is really shit tier tasteless garbage here
Really? I always figured our fast food was better overseas.

>Who the hell steals shopping carts?
Gypsies and hobos I guess. `

What's the problem about putting a coin or a chip into the shopping cart? You get the coin back. Are you too stupid to understand this concept?

>we have baggers
Makes no sense. Why don't you guys just do it yourself?

Yes, but PR events always gave away cart coins. Like I had a skoda, a Tesco and even fidesz coins. Damn I love election time. So many free pens and keyrings.

Took me 20 seconds of searching for pics of black hoods to see that was a lie
It's damaging our reputation though. Not really good in terms of customer base sustainability

>It's to prevent people from stealing them. It's normal. Don't you have that in the US?
the fuck. only homeless people here actually need shopping cart to haul around their shit, or the rare case of kids trying to break shit
who the fuck trying to steal a shopping cart, where would you even put it?

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with putting a coin in a shopping cart to avoid stealing but it's just not common here. A lot of supermarkets have baggers but I like to bag my own groceries.

Subway is god-tier here while I heard americans call it tasteless and bland

who cares about what neckbeards on twitter-like image boards post

the reality is their share is growing and that doesn't come from a bad reputation

Just go to Costco

Gypsies who have no car and are too lazy to carry their grocery bags just walk with the cart till they arrive home and then they throw it in the bushes or somerthing like that.

Okay, I understand.

You can do that at an automated self-checkout anyway. However if I'm buying alcohol or over the counter drugs, which need a cashier's approval, I have to deal with one. They always only put like 2 things in each bag and mix chemical items with food items.

Maybe it was because I only had Aldi Nord, but I liked Tegut a lot better

I've only had Subway once in my life and have only heard of negative experiences from anyone else who has tried it.

I remember puking my lungs out after eating a meatball sub there once and I never went back

subway is nice if you have fuck all alternative and hungry

>vomit is stored in his lungs
Might want to see a doctor about that user

Really? It's legit really fucking good here. I don't know what the fuck you're doing wrong

Actually happens a lot in the UK

aldi is pretty high quality especially for the prices

>I don't enjoy Subway

Fuck what are they feeding you shits over there exactly?

it is probably a combination of smaller country + a foreign branch mixed with local operating it
not the first time i heard some fastfood brand from america actually is better oversea, and i believe all of them

I live in a pretty diverse city, if i want sandwiches i can just pick out some of the fine local shops here and they taste much better for pretty much the same price and speed. One of my fav would be banh mi, the vietnamese sandwich

Burger King is shit tier though.
>Want to get some spicy chicken bs idk what it's called
>literally handed an almost cold burger where the cheese hasn't even melted properly
>that'll be 4,50 then
Fuck em

>russian brands

No such a thing, user

damn, that's suck
should just bring back in a demand them another burger
but for chicken burger here i will just go to chick fil a, lel. a posititve side of having a shit ton of fastfood chain is you know which one is good at what and you just pick the exact item you want from that brand

A lot of our fast food restaurants get franchised so the quality can vary from place to place. Subway just happens to be one of the worst offenders.

Just depends on management. The aldi i live next to has really nice veggies and the meat and milk is always fresh, but there is one further away from where i live that i shop at sometimes and yeah, everything is shitty there.

It's not so much to prevent people stealing them, but more so that there is little need for oversight, and extra work relating to cart management. With the coin deposit, the carts organize themselves.

I like the based coin carts. Ive made like $1.25 over the years from grabbing abandoned carts with quarters still in them.

in america they just pay for some dudes to collect these, america is king of creating bullshit jobs

When you go to 3rd world shitholes like Germany you realize how inconvenient everything is, and is a downgrade in nearly every aspect of life except vacation hours.

>american tips everything but his shopping cart
I'm calling mr.goldstein

>don't use normal shopping carts
my God, Americans truly are simple creatures

bro, you need to understand this country is huge and therefore mostly a car country. where should people store their shopping cart in their cars?

>Americans don't get drunk and steal shopping trolleys

>I always wanted a grocery store that charged me money to rent a shopping cart
Wut
>made me bag my own groceries
This is normal though

>When you go to 3rd world shitholes like Germany
How often have you been to Germany?

>I don't know what the fuck you're doing wrong
very low health and quality regulations compared to the European market
I'm not even joking, I used to work for McDonald's as a manager for the BeNeLux area. The American burgers violate European health and safety rules on 27 points but are 3 times as cheap as the European version of the hamburgers. It's basically a lower quality version that's cheaper to meak. Downside is that American consumers get a lot of shit down their throats that is even proven to cause cancers and shit but hey it's legal so you can't really blame the company for wanting to save some money

>didn't know there were shitty yuro grocery store here in the US
>mfw after looking it up and find out there's one 2 miles away
how do we get rid of these Invaders?
