i like it and i think it is good for kids to learn pronunciation for taiwanese mandarin
in singapore they teach hanyupinyin so im more inclined to use that than bopomofo but i dont know if bopomofo is appropriate to use in singapore since childrens first language here is usually english. i feel bopomofo is better for 1st language chinese speakers like in taiwan and also a good system for codifying other sinitic languages

I've never used zhuyin, but pinyin is extremely easy. You just need to learn it since letters aren't 1:1 with latin

Even North Korea banned the use of Chinese characters early on and only hangul was allowed. They're still used once in a while in South Korea but it's rare anymore.

Kids in China literally first learn pinyin and only then learn Chinese characters on basis of pinyin. All mainland input methods involve writing in Latin characters, which are then encoded into a Chinese characters.
