Cén duine atá tú?

last thread was better

I meant to bump it but it archived before I could. Tá brón orm, /éire/.

I find it quite interesting, even kind of cool, how Irish has similarities to the romance languages that English doesn't have. For example, tú meaning you, like "tu" in the romance languages, and Dia meaning God, the same as Dio.

Enjoy your BANNED MEMES

Good, do something more productive.

Memes are the highest form of intellectual production.

got some white loose tea and it's very good stuff

t. intellectual

Mao pls.

It's not about memes, you faggots.

Know my favourite meme? Caitríona and her large udders.

Memes are a side-effect of more draconian copyright laws.

Do you lads speak gaelic on a daily basis?

I sing Amhrán na bhFiann in the shower every morning and hum the odd tune in the evenings. Does that count?

I swear someone asks us this every fucking day

>For example, tú meaning you, like "tu" in the romance languages
I mean it's "du" in German, and some Scandinavian languages, and "thou" in English, that one is very universal among IE languages.
But yeah languages such as Gaulish were actually pretty close to Latin.

I don't think so.
Are there many people with old-time Irish names like "Michael", "Mary", "Joseph", etc ?

Were you the one who was considering it a bit back? If you're the same person, I'm glad you gave it a try

I'm on a bus with a bunch of Brazilian students and they're so fucking loud. Their supervisor doesn't give a shit and I'm about to snap lads

Those aren't very Irish names, ew

>old-time Irish names like "Michael", "Mary", "Joseph", etc ?
I'd count those as biblical names desu.
If you mean traditional Irish origin names then yes, names like Colm and Seán are common across the country.

yeah was me, was originally going to just get green tea but the shop owner recommended i try white too, so gave me a packet for free, and i think i prefer it

>Who cares?
No government should have jurisdiction over the internet, it should be a free-for-all

Just noticed your flag.
>old-time Irish names like "Michael", "Mary", "Joseph"
I know a good few people with the former, less so the other two. In a way that isn't actually too bad because those names are more Christian European than Irish, in my eyes. Am sure there are plenty of shitty modern names these days too, named after celebrities and such, but I live in a rural area where that wouldn't really be an issue. Am sure Dublin has plenty of foreign names.
Also some people say there is a bit of a trend to use older Gaelic names that you wouldn't even be able to pronounce.
I guess in summary we aren't really losing our names, but I'm sure in some urban and cosmopolitan areas it might be an issue.

DEPORT DEPORT DEPORT

at least you don't live in the north

Cool, I prefer it too. White tea leaves are from the same plant as green tea but harvested earlier if I remember correctly

Why's that?

Attached: 1542048600668.jpg (652x1000, 102K)

Yes it must be terrible living in the first world

What's wrong with it? Shops stock a wider variety of McCoy's and there are no niggers

I can't say I've seen much of her lately. Is she pregnant by any chance?

Attached: 1550345729972.jpg (1207x1845, 1.07M)

will probably continue to try new things until i decide on a couple, they have some funky looking stuff like green tea with lime or orange, but i imagine white will be a staple
i've heard different types of tea leaves of the same variety can have notable difference, how true is that?

>there are no niggers
Have you forgotten why Liam Neeson was in the news recently?

Mary is a typical old woman's name
Michael is common enough but tends older
I don't know about called Joseph
In the Gaeltacht there is a tendency is to be known by an Irish name but have the English form on your birth cert because the thinking of English as more official never went away

Younger people have a higher tendency to have (often obtuse) Gaelic names or dumb foreign/celebrity/retarded names, usually depending on socioeconomic class (the former tend to be wealthier). ex. Aodhán or Jayden.

Article 13 might help the internet return to a time before it was overrun by normalfags.

Attached: 1543190108834.jpg (181x279, 13K)

Because he wanted to beat up one for a week? The fact that he went a week without finding one says it all

As long as social media exists, that time will never return.

Attached: 20160613115612.png (1280x720, 667K)

That's always the names I hear for the stereotyped Irish characters, so it came to my mind.

I see. What kind of names are common for young people in your rural province?

I always thought of Ireland as a conservative beacon of national independence. So what happened to you in 2016? Pajeet Prime Minister and abortion legalized. That was a surprise twist lol

You bet she is.

if you want to go back then you want the internet to be less restricted, not more

I see we both share this dream
The Internet needs to be broken apart, fuck the GAFA

Do you mean like different greens can taste different? Yeah different brands can vary a lot. How you prepare it can matter too

Attached: 1541987261060.jpg (736x725, 137K)

Social media isn't the "real" internet as far as I'm concerned. Plus, if memes are banned, Facebook will be losing a huge chunk of its activity.

No. It just needs to be restricted in such a way that makes it inconvenient for normalfags to stray outside of social media.

Attached: 1549302279795.png (788x1024, 591K)

You've contradicted yourself by admitting that there were niggers as far back as the 1980's when the story took place.

Really?

>I always thought of Ireland as a conservative beacon of national independence. So what happened to you in 2016? Pajeet Prime Minister and abortion legalized. That was a surprise twist lol
People who grew up in more prosperous times and experienced more mass media influence

She THICCC mo chara. Might even be Trump's baby, who knows.

Qrd on article 13?

By me.

Also add to that the Catholic church practically committed PR suicide

>Social media isn't the "real" internet as far as I'm concerned
Then what is real?

>It just needs to be restricted in such a way that makes it inconvenient for normalfags to stray outside of social media
Now you're just confusing. You mean banning search engines?

Disgusting. Almost as bad as those eir ads that always have the Dublin footballers and Leinster rugby winning.

Attached: 1544358275794.jpg (2048x1041, 275K)

How religious do you think we'd be today if all those scandals never happened?

Probably not very but Catholic sensibilities like anti-abortion which were the norm 10 years would be stronger

>this new liberal an post ad
How bad is it? Full of virtue signalling?

Attached: 1537026196272.jpg (654x667, 90K)

This isn't some rigorous mathematical proof where everything written is literal. By "no niggers", I mean fuck all

And that's the same for most of Ireland in general. Outside the shithole towns that is.

Very bad. Cork-tier.

The girl who nearly became my girlfriend was infatuated with Ireland.
She even had a small harp necklace...

Doesn't matter if they're not your neighbours, they're still benefiting from your taxes and are being accepted by your compatriots. Can you live with that?

Elaborate.

Homelesses, Brexit close-minded, gay marriage or abortion not sure.

Catríona Perry pays for breast enlargements using Donald Trump's hush money. You heard it here first.

Yes brexit is class

Shall see who will be smug when we'll be lifting an actual trophy on Sunday. How many of them have you lifted in the last one hundred or so years?

>How many of them have you lifted in the last one hundred or so years?
Many. We've even represented Ireland in Europe and in a relevant sport too

>in a relevant sport
You mean the one for third worlders?

Y I K E S

>You mean the one for third worlders?
Yes, the 3rd world is a subset of the entire world

Attached: 1502639477890.jpg (562x618, 35K)

I like all three sports tbqh. Don't know what this division bullshit is.

A subset that makes up the majority of soccer players, and fans.
