did you guys know that in the US Army, there's a gender difference in physical standard requirements?
>men: 42 push ups, 56 sit ups in 2 minutes each and a 2 mile run under 16 minutes
>women: 19 push ups, 36 sit ups in 2 minutes each and 2 mile run in 19 minutes
19 push ups is the bare minimum of what a woman soldier needs to be able to do to go out and fight in a war. 19 push ups, i've been living in my basement and haven't worked out in years. i can do twice as many right now, with no exercise in 4 years. when i used to work out when i was around 15 i could 60 push ups.
oh, but women get paid exactly the same in the military.
AAAAAAAAA

Nigged.com
I go to gym every second day
>Machines
Oh no no no HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
BTW, i dropped weight from 120 to 90 kg in less than a year, and i raised my barebell bench press ability from 35 kg to almost 90 kg in less than a year. Strong will can make miracles.
>Oh no no no HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I spend 90% of my time in the gym on free weights. I use machines only for specific reasons when i need to exercise isolated part of muscles, especially muscles of legs. Free weights can't easily replace leg press machine.
CRINGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I should, but I don't.
>Free weights can't easily replace leg press machine.
You must be pretty tall then?
Me on the left
Yes.
Sadly not as much as back in the day.
>tfw had qts in the club coming up to me, asking if they could touch my muscles just a few years back
>tfw became kinda fat
>skipping neck day
How can you replace leg press machine with free weights in an easy way? Dude, you are talking to somebody who has a cousin (pic-related) who is world champion of NAC federation and is taking 260 kg in deadlift like its nothing. I bought gym-access year ago mainly thanks to him, because he couldn't look at me without pity when i was a fatso.
>You must be pretty tall then?
187 cm
squat
It doesn't work if you want to develop big leg muscles. I take 180 kg on my legs on the leg press machine.
>I take 180 kg on my legs on the leg press machine.
*Yawn*
guess to each his own. used to do leg press machine when i first got started, and gradually began to replace it with squat. squat + deadlift + lunge is all you need for legs really
I am working out for a year. I was never attending gym before. I began from 80 kg on legs. I achieved this all only by strong will: going to gym every second day, while drinking BCAA+creatine+whey protein+vitamines dissolved in milk.
Deadlift exercise is accumulating into your whole body, the weight is going to many muscles. If you want to develop big and hard leg muscles in isolated way in a fast way, you need to help yourself with leg press.
which is a good thing, since it gives you stimulus for othe part such as your thighs and bottom, and you don't get that with leg press machine. also being able to put more whight on the machine isn't everything, because you use less muscle mass using leg press machine than using squat.
and i'm talking from my own personal experience, but then again different strokes for different folks
once every 2 weeks I'll do like 3 sets of 15 reps of a few exercises. Just enough to remind myself I'm embarrassingly out of shape and overweight.
I am doing deadlift too but i could never grow my calf and thigh muscles so fast in such a short time without supporting myself with leg press, that's because deadlift is not an isolated exercise. Only a percent of the weight i take directly on my legs with using leg press is coming to my legs when i do deadlift.
most of the work with legs press is with your quads, whereas with deadlift it's the hamstrings that do most of the work tho, those are rather different exercises
You said yourself that you would use deadlift to exercise your legs, not me.
well yes, i do both squat + deadlift. meant to say that squat is more akin to leg press in terms of the muscles they utilize, so you can choose betweeen both, but deadlift isn't supposed to be like leg press/squat, it works on the hamtrings more thus it's a supplementary exercise to squat/leg press
Yes, but I hate it.
Only doing 1kg
Literal wastrel
no. i jog around my neighborhood and do some easy pushups and squats in my room
