I'm not sure about where you live but where I live if you're desperate for money you can get a job in forestry or fishing. Fishing is hard work long hours, with good pay and accommodation and food sorted for you. Forestry is easier to get a job in, and also hard and long hours. But both are good pay and youd be able to save to leave the country in less than two months

minimum wage isn't made to live on, it's an unskilled job for high schoolers. The problem is that people don't pursue a skilled job, whether it be labor or not, and then they decide to have children when it's clear that they cannot afford them.
