They won't. Their economy will never diversify from a raw resource based one because putin's obligarch corrupt retard don't want to lessen their power. Siberia will eventually be colonized by China (as mongolia is being right now), and the EU will most likely accept Russia into their sphere once this happens as Putin will be widely unpopular when Siberia gets taken away and be killed or atleast put out of power im favour of more pro-west ones

The way I see it Russia and China are in a better position to 'rule' the world than USA at the moment as both left and right in America seem to have opposition to American foreign policy. That opens up a power vacuum for both Russia and China to control large parts of the world as the premier power.
Neither Russia or China has the isolationist politics that current America has so I can easily see them controlling a lot of markets in the future as Americans lose their hegemony in the world.
