/plugs/ - Share your plugs and sockets
the yellow is the older type
the white is the new type
I love schuko socket .
It's so robust and compact
Are they both compatible?
Get killed
schuko a best
british plugs are unnecessarily large and burger plugs are just pathetic
same as yours
Why because it's old?
Brazil economy finally started using it's "brain"
Yes. Same spacing between the phase and neutral pin.
The problem start with American standard. Our socket doesn't allow the flat pin and the ground pin is too apart. You can solve it by buying a new plug and replacing it (a kid can do, really easy) or replace the cable if it is detachable.
By law, we could not import appliance that still uses the American type, but no one gives a flying fuck since our proto-communist government was arrested.
Bacause whil plugging you can touch parts which are under power
Only retard people manage to do that.
The real danger is in the lack of grounding for things that have a motor and steel covers.
inb4
>but dey so safe look dey have fuses!
yeah, if their wiring wasn't on third world level they wouldn't need fuses in every single plug
so yes, schuko is easily the best. you can't even destroy it with bombs
>yeah, if their wiring wasn't on third world level they wouldn't need fuses in every single plug
Hold your horses. We always over dimensionate our wire thickness. Don't come with your buillshit over the third world.
Where is a fuse in a Schuko plug/socket???
Kannst mir auch gerne auf Deutsch antworten
We use 1,5 mm2 for 16 or even 20 A, tat's close to what is possible, partly beyond it.
Just plug it in the wall dude
*that's
Never had problems with that
I WAS BORN TO POST IN THIS THREAD
MAKE WAY FOR THE BEST PLUG
inb4 it's too big, shut up, this plug is faultless
Best socket coming through.
Italian (now Chilean) plug master race
Are the switches for turn off and on the sockets, if so that's incredibly based
But it's not compatible with international standard.
>based
Overkill idea that just add cost to your building.
Yes so you don't get killed while plugging, because the design is shit
That they are Burger friend, i think "always on" styles of plugs were banned from new build homes a few years ago, though i might be wrong.
>But it's not compatible with international standard.
What is supposed to be th "international" standard?
My feet got punctured by these fuckers. Worst socket after america
>3rd worlders cant afford switches on their plugs.
Oh i am chuckling.
China mass produce shit in Type-B, so it became universal.
Why wuld i need a switch in my plug? If i want to shutdown the thing from the electricity, i just unplug it. No need to trust faulty, cheat switches.
That's just retard.
Because then you have plugs lying around on the ground and its ugly, just easier to flick a switch isn't it
No. Just tuck the plug somewhere of roll it.
Imagine you have a PC and you have to reach your hand behind a desk to unplug it when you open the case
Now imagine you merely have to press a switch to get the same effect
I'm glad you see the light
I never unplug stuff from wall socket what isn't portable
two in one bitch FUCK you
240v 60hz though
we use the german design
you can tell it has been designed by a squared germanic mind
Imagine having the convenience of this, but built into every wall. The ingenuity of the British man is boundless, there simply is no comparison
How about 3-in-1 of bad ass 230v 50hz
you are clearly not an electrican are you? never trust a simple switch when opening electrical stuff.
It's just about switching it of, to save money
Based
So ugly.
how is that three in one? what three standards are there? i only see one you dingus breath
Why would i unplug it? In worst case, it will consume a few Watts idle.
This is not EU where the production of energy is expensive, we have R.I.V.E.R.S
3 plugs in 1 wall socket
I like the swiss one. Probably it's the same to our model but i never saw this outlet here.
It are the same.
These are looking funny
Who else
>three phases
here?
I read on /diy/ that amerimutts don't have three phase connections in their homes and they consider themselves lucky if they have those shitty 240v two phase atrocities, because their jewish masters don't want them to be able to plug in any heavy equipment on their own. Truly sad.
I like the idea, we have modular outlets but's does't looks that nice.
More three phase
The switch in cheap socket hubs is often sparkling/being the faulty part, a switch has to be of premium quality for me to trust it
I only have 1 phase (230V 50Hz) here, but it's also only an apartment
look exactly same like your photo
very much wierd my friend.
>proto-communist government
are you retard?
this pattern was not even developed in Brazil. It is a standard of the international electrotechnical commission IEC. It was one of the few hits of "communist government"
Yours looks very similar yes. In the UK I saw some with USB charging ports. Smart idea
I've never seen a house or apartment with triphasic power. Sounds autistic.
Wait what's funny? All my plugs are like that
I remember a story my physic teacher told us about soviet Russia where they put long ass cables from one house to another to connect two phases to have enough power for welding
I now appreciate your plugs more. Make them deeper so the bare leads aren't exposed and you've got the best system.
Schuko is mechanically robust but they're also very bulky.
You have to pay like $1000 to get a 3-phase connection. You also need to change all the electrical fuses/ECB. It's rarely needed or worth it unless you have a very big house.
we use the sad face (like in Australia)
the italian outlet is just the best outlet in the word
compact ,simplistic ,italian fork can be used even
in euro and deuch outlet
>pay like $1000
Once or montly?
By now 3 phases are standard in Germany and are nearly everywhere excluding older 1 small apartemnt.
It's needed for example if you want to use a electric instant water heater and it's usefull for electric stoves
What's the difference betweent the two different sizes?
the small one is not very used but it schould be
use for small load like lights
Our plugs are the same as the Germans, truly an Aryan brotherhood
Wait a second. For products like apple who have a sleek design and don’t look ancient/autistic, what comes in the package for them? Any Euroanons mind sharing?
We get a little white cube, the length of paper clip.
that f screw on the ground make me crazy
becase u fag dont want take our plag
and u still sell un that shit whitout the screw
How useless, whey then not just use the big one for everything?
Here’s what I’m talking about
for the most part we do
old wire dont take hight load so we use the small one
we have integreted the 2 model in one in eny case
this:
or (following), up to current needed
for higher curren (2.5A)
(Both Apple)
>Once or montly?
lol no it's a one-time thing + some small monthly payment, like 20 euros or so.
Stoves can run on 1 phase (40 amps at 220V is close to 9kW) but year if you want a decent instant water heater you need a 3 phase connection. Most homes have electrically heated "boilers"/tanks that run on lower power (4kW typical) so you can still run other stuff on the side.
Ah I see. Thanks user I have the same as the second pic but with out adapter.
>40 amps
That's why I said usefull.
For 40 A you need much thicker cables than for 16 A. I have even seen houses here which only have a 27A connection (3 phases)
>40 Amps
Jesus man.
We run 3phase 25 Amps
We change the sides of the phase and neutral just to be different from the common.
inake to the building is most likely 400V 3ph divided into 230V 1Ph either in the main or sub breaker panel. wiring up a 3ph plug should be little work. i doubt there is 1ph local distributin networks in modern parts of eu. only norway and another shithole still clings to 230V 3ph in old parts and that gives us lots of problem at work.
