People need their vitamins and their fix, but what I meant was, you could finance a farmer by say, giving him however much of the local currency is needed to let him fix his barn, fuel his tractor, etc. By buying say his apple tree or 12 sheep or whatever and selling it back when he can afford it, or selling those sheep to another trader.
