Dude, it's the 21st century

It's also the reality in most cases. Because international law only exists as long as countries are willing to abide by it. And it's often not in the interest of large countries to follow international laws, when they can simply force things to go their way.

>Except I did.
No you didn’t. Just pointing out that something is the case doesn’t prove it ought to be the case.

based

>I can't be arsed to open a history book, so pleasy spoonfeed me!

might is right is THE ONLY philosophy that makes ANY sort of sense of the world

>politics
why do you listen to politicians, because they have some special friendship powers? because of some mystic magic aura?
fuck no, international treaties and summits get called and signed on the second one country demonstrates some sort of military capability that the other one cant do
>diplomacy
any diplomacy not from the position of strength is worthless
pax romana, longest peace in europe ever, was possible because of roman legions
gaddafi got all the un promises and world leader promises he will have peace if he dismantles his weapons programs, ukraine got those promises too when it inherited soviet weapons, and now they are both war torn shitholes... meanwhile nations that didnt disarm like north koreans remain uninvaded

this world of atoms and gravity doesnt work on ballot box mysticism, things wont happen just because you voted for them, there are no magical scrolls or pergaments or documents or constitutions, no words of coffin deadmen or quotes of some rotting cadavers
might is all there is to it

Not even worth replying to him, dude. He’s pants-on-head retarded.

seething

Murder has always existed and most likely always will. This doesn’t make it right.

That's a very simplistic way of looking at it. Strength is important, but the strength of the people is bigger than the strength of one individual person. That is why you can't go out and just murder people, because society will punish you for it. But at the same time, the government doesn't have ultimate strength either, historically it has been shown that corrupt governments get overthrown and replaced by governments that respect the people, because the PEOPLE have power. i.e. democracy, you dip shit.

It's not about being right. It's just the reality of things
>democracy always works and is always stable and representative of the people
The middle east, central asia and africa would like to have a word with you
