it's not arrogance, it's comfort with one's own nature and a complete lack of pretense. the conception that other people are in any way beneath him is so foreign that he doesn't consider the optics of a gag like that.
the people who get offended by this stuff are almost always the real culprits (almost), which is why he's relatively untouched.
if he really went about the world with a shitty attitude deep down, it would catch up to him. he'd need to travel with a posse when it blew up in his face.
yet somehow he doesn't, and it hasn't. the guy probably steps on a few toes here and there but he doesn't have to worry about it. i really admire it - but that's exactly the sort of thing he shouldn't know, in my opinion. which is why i'm worried about this channel exploding.
