What has that sign got to do with Irish Protestants? That was Crossmaglen and was a warning to the British army not Irish protestants.
Only the double digit IQs in the estates care about NI politics now.

Jow Forums's understanding of the Troubles is basically "Catholics v Protestants" so I just related it to that
Catholics were the ""original" mostly Gaelic Irish.
Protestants were sent over in the 1600s to try and make Ireland ethnically and culturally British.
So the Catholic/Protestant thing isn't really religious. It's an Irish population versus a population that identifies as British and was originally sent over to replace, kill, or assimilate them. Not that that characterises them now.
When Northern Ireland was formed it was gerrymandered so that Protestants ran it and Catholics had no real protection from state violence and drastically impoverished access to education, work and housing due to discrimination. So from that point forward its your standard privileged group versus oppressed group story.
>It's an Irish population versus a population that identifies as British and was originally sent over to replace, kill, or assimilate them
Ahh I see. Well that makes things much clearer. Thanks for the quick rundown.
