What goes on here? It seems like such a mysterious place, it's a big country geographically and 18 million is a significant population, yet you never hear about it
Kazakhs are mostly Muslim but I don't seem to ever hear about issues with terrorism, or religious conflict like I do in middle eastern and south asian Muslim countries
Any Kazakhs here feel like telling me a bit about your country?
Also Astana (Nur-Sultan) is a bad city. Least pedestrian-friendly city in the world. Almaty is the old Soviet capital and that's where all the cool stuff is at. In or near the Fergana, so very nice nature like the 3 other -stans. (minus turkmenistan)

>yet you never hear about it It's pretty boring and not particularly influential outside of Central Asia >Kazakhs are mostly Muslim but I don't seem to ever hear about issues with terrorism Most Kazakhs aren't very religious (they'll eat pork and bacon, rarely go to the mosque, etc.) and even the ones that are religious are more traditional Sunnis rather than Salafist types

Kazakhs are very good people, more civilized than Poles.
