This highway needs a repaving

That's a road in pristine condition by our standards. Most of our roads are much worse.

Just drive a few hours north in any province and you'll be surrounded by beautiful nature. It's literally one of the good things about living in Canada

lmao never go to Quebec, that road was probably laid down not even 2 years ago

Canada is the best America.

>Toronto
New York but more passive aggressiveness and less stink
>Southern Ontario
Michigan but better roads
>Northern Ontario
Michigan U.P. but way more spread out
>Quebec
french ontario, but passive aggressiveness is replaced by a superiority complex and bad roads
>Montreal
if you're not there to get drunk, get tail or listen to shitty music really loud, you're gonna have a bad time. Basically Toronto but smaller, french, less infrastructure and more people puking their brains out on downtown streets
>Quebec City
a cute little historic downtown surrounded by the most boring suburbs east of Saskatchewan
>Alberta
thinks they're Texas but they're really just North Dakota with oil
>BC
Vancouver is the über-Toronto of BC, but they'll never admit it. Basically Washington state but with Hong Kong stuck at the bottom
>Saskatchewan
Iowa but with more animosity towards natives, and less attention paid to them during election cycles
>Manitoba
Everyone outside Winnipeg is either in the RCMP, Military, native or depressed. Either way they're pissed drunk
>Maritimes
Maine and new England, but without jobs or a functioning economy. Basically TPB, you can't get much more accurate
>Newfoundland
Imagine taking someone from Kentucky, removing the outright racism, liquoring them up, teaching them an Irish accent and then putting them in bumfuck nowhere on the Atlantic coast to fish. god bless 'em
>Yukon
Alaska but without people, even more so
>NWT/Nunavut
who?

I wonder why do car-oriented countries like the US or Canada have their roads in such a poor condition, it should be the other way around, Europe, that is more focused on developing public transport (especially railways) should have worse roads yet in Europe roads are much better.

we have lots, lots, LOTS of roads. The scale is completely different

also, municipalities are corrupt as fuck, often they half-ass the initial construction in order to save money on the budget for their term, then the road goes to shit after they step down. Pothole filling is also shoddily done, they don't cut around it and lay adhesive oil, they just fill it with hot fill, which just means it cracks again a few days later.

In addition, the freeze/thaw/flood cycle here does a number on roads, the clinate swing in the northern US and Canada puts a lot of stress on the asphalt, making it crack much quicker than it would in continental Europe

basically, weather, volume and corruption

That’s a 10/10 road here in Murca.

>damn Americans and their Hat, they always complain about their roads for no reason, let's choose a random street view to prove them their roads aren't bad at all...

I dont see any chunks missing yet.

People using public transport means your roads get less wear though.

kek, the one in my city is full of potholes from the rain. can't even avoid them
