there's plenty of norman scots. you seem relatively ignorant of scottish history. lot of anglos went up there after the harrowing of the north too. orkney and shetland are heavily scandinavian, as well as elsewhere in scotland. they're not some pure celts or whatever bs stereotypes have you believe.

same goes for william wallace but it's more likely he was of celtic/gaelic welsh descent as that's where the wallace tribe was apparently from originally

the origins of the name wallace suggests that it was given to those who were of welsh origin or spoke a welsh language
there were plenty of anglos in the south of scotland but robert the bruce and william wallace were scoto-norman so gaelic and norman rather than anglo and norman
the whole racial purity thing is a bit autistic because obviously there were intermarriage between all the groups, but to call scots anglo-normans is so wrong it's autistic

actually was thinking of bruce's surname iirc.
but still, anglos and normans both settled scotland so i don't see why we're arguing. and obviously some of them were anglo-norman seeing as normans took saxon wives right after conquering and went to scotland a bit later.
i agree it's autistic, i was just saying she looked "anglo-norman" to me, at least what i imagine what those peoples would've looked like :^) but of course, everyone in scotland is partially celtic as well.
